Caitlyn Jenner spoke for the first time about Sofia Hutchins’ “difficult” death.
“My best friend Sofia recently passed away in a tragic accident,” the “Catch-up with the Kardashians” alumni said in an interview with “Fox News @night” on Thursday.
The Hutchins passed away in July in the ATV crash. She was 29 years old.
Jenner said he would “deal with the deaths of the past seven weeks” while talking about Minneapolis’ Wednesday shooting.
“It’s very difficult,” said former reality star 75.
“So when this happened, it really hit me hard,” the “I Am Cait” alumni described the tragedy at Annunciation Church and Catholic School. “Because here I’m dealing with my grief.”
Jenner said, “I’ve been dealing with grief. These people have a long way ahead of them and they’re going to deal with grief.”
The Olympian broke the silence after losing the Hutchins last month, telling the Daily Mail Paparazzo that he “don’t want to talk to.”
However, the retired athlete admitted that she had been going through “hard times.”
She has not since addressed the death of Hutchins.
Her late manager was driving an ATV near Malibu, Jenner, California. On July 2nd, his home collided with a moving car bumper, knocking down a 350-foot valley.
Hutchins was declared dead at the scene by an emergency responder.
She and Jenner met in 2015 and made headlines for Hutchins moving into Jenner’s house two years later.
The duo claimed their bond was platonic and they fought back against romance rumors on multiple occasions, and in 2018 the Hutchins told the “Hidden Truth” podcast listener “business partners… share their lives.”
Two years later, she doubled the relationship “not a hunky panky.”
Jenner reportedly supported Hutchins’ family after a shocking tragedy by opening her home.
