Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz are reportedly planning to adopt a child as their feud with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, deepens.
Friends of Brooklyn and Peltz told The Sun in a report published Friday that the couple had “several conversations” about raising a child that is not biologically theirs.
“This is a topic that Nicola and Brooklyn are very much on the same page about,” the source added. “They both want to have children and hope at least one will be adopted.”
“They both know that they come from unimaginably privileged backgrounds, so they both have a strong desire to give back by providing the best life possible for babies and children who are less fortunate,” the source explained.
“They’ve talked about it a lot. Nicola has just dropped 90 pounds for her latest film role, so having a child that is biologically hers seems out of the question for now.”
The new development comes weeks after Brooklyn, 26, declared she had no intention of reconciling with her entire family, including siblings Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and sister Harper, 14, following a shocking social media outburst.
In a statement, she accused her parents of trying to destroy her marriage to Nicola, 31, and claimed Victoria danced “inappropriately” with him at their 2022 wedding.
“Brooklyn mentioned children, ‘future family’ and ‘future children’ in her statement. Those were two very intentional clauses,” the source said.
David and Victoria, who are “two very family-oriented people” who “adore the idea of being grandparents”, are now facing another heartbreak as “not having a role in their future grandchildren’s lives will hurt them deeply”.
“The possibility of them reading about an adopted baby on Instagram is a no-brainer for them, but unfortunately it’s a very real possibility,” the source added.
Brooklyn hasn’t spoken to his parents in over eight months and his entire family is now estranged from him.
Representatives for Brooklyn and Pelt did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
