Long before Ryan Murphy’s hit FX series “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” was released, Brooke Shields had a romance with JFK Jr.
The actress gushed about JFK Jr.’s kissing skills in a light-hearted TikTok, in which the model and her daughter Rowan Henchy recited the lyrics to Charli XCX’s song “Boom Clap.”
In the video, Henchy pensively lip-syncs to the camera the lyrics, “Was JFK Jr. a good kisser?” on top of the clip.
The camera then moved to the former Calvin Klein model, who continued to lip-sync the words “One of the Best” written over the video. Henchy, 22, added in the caption: “But don’t forget… they never dated.”
In the comment thread, fans couldn’t help but weigh in with their opinions. “This is ground journalism,” one person joked, while another said, “Sarah Jessica Parker said the same thing 😭.”
“I’m so jealous, RN,” a third person confessed. Yet another said: “Remember…you don’t have to date to kiss…”
Shields, 60, has rarely commented on his relationship with the son of the former president, who died in a 1999 plane crash along with his wife Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and sister Lauren Bessette.
Their relationship briefly dates back to the 1980s, at the height of SEAL stardom.
She previously told “Howard Stern Show” listeners in 2023 that she went on a “real” ski date in Aspen, Colorado.
Shields said she was “frozen” at the prospect of having sex with the lawyer after he gave her “the best kiss of my life.”
“I thought, ‘Oh my God, you’re in love and if you sleep with him, he might never talk to you again,'” she said.
“I wasn’t playing games. I was really scared of getting hurt. If I had slept with him, I would have given him my whole universe, my heart, everything I have.”
The “Blue Lagoon” actress claimed she had been “madly in love” with him since she was three years old.
“My mom (Terry Shields) used to say, ‘That’s the boy you’re going to marry,'” she revealed. Shields claimed that after rejecting his sexual advances because she “loved him too much,” she found herself back at the ski lodge alone.
“I had to take a taxi home, which in my opinion was a little less chivalrous,” she told the radio personality.
She concluded that the author of George magazine showed his “true colors” during the incident.
“He didn’t look at me or talk to me,” she claimed. “On the one hand, I was like, ‘Oh, yeah.’ On the other hand, I was like, ‘Oh, thank God, because if they had been dating, he might not have talked to you yet.’
However, in a 2024 biography, Shields still described him as a “delicious kisser.” “He tasted…like pillow lips,” she said in “JFK Jr.: An Intimate Oral Biography.” She added, “So sweet…the lips were absolutely outrageous. Just plump, beautiful and so edible.”
Shields eventually married Chris Henchy and had 19-year-old daughters Rowan and Greer.
Meanwhile, JFK Jr. also had relationships with Sarah Jessica Parker, Daryl Hannah (who criticized her portrayal on the TV series in a recent New York Times essay), and Madonna before marrying Carolyn in a secret ceremony in 1996.
