Brooke Hogan has no regrets when he is ruled out of his late father, Hulk Hogan’s $5 million will.
After details of the wrestling legendary will have been released, her brother, Nick Hogan, is listed as the sole beneficiary of Hulk’s property, while Hulk’s current widow, Sky Daly, is listed as a surviving spouse — Brooke said this was what she wanted.
“His decision is not surprising to me,” she told the outlet Thursday. “That’s what I wanted. I’ll stand for it without regret.”
“My dad knows I’m hardworking and I’ve been surviving without his money for a long time,” she added.
Brooke, 37, told the outlet that money was never an issue when it came to his relationship with his father, and told him that he knew from personal experience that money doesn’t buy happiness.
Hulk left nearly $5 million in assets after his death. This includes $200,000 for cryptocurrencies, $799,000 for personal and intellectual property, rights to promote (value $4 million) and the unknown value of a potential medical malpractice lawsuit.
TMZ reported last month that it plans to file a daily medical malpractice lawsuit against a surgeon who underwent surgery on the neck of her husband, who passed away in May.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ Sports that the occupational therapist who was with Hulk when he died in July claimed that the surgeon had “cut off” the athlete’s phrenic nerve during a recent surgery.
The allegations are reportedly included in a police report regarding officers’ 911 responses to the Florida home in Hulk.
Last month, Brook went to TMZ Live to emphasize that he didn’t want to make money after his father’s death.
“I know what my family is like,” she explained. “And I have seen how certain members of my family can drive out money, and I see how they fight for money and how they spend money on each other.
Brooke again insisted that she never relied on the Hulk financially.
“I do my job. My husband has a job. I haven’t had any money from my dad since I was 18,” she said. “Everyone else was relying on him for his salary, and now the Golden Goose is gone.”
Hulk died of acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack, when blood flow to the myocardium was suddenly blocked and caused tissue damage, according to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center.
He was 71 years old.
