Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are facing new co-parenting challenges for the holidays.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six’s Evan Real and Danny Murphy at BravoCon 2025, Cartwright revealed that she and her ex-couple have plans for their 4-year-old son, Cruise.
“I always enjoy Christmas,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alum told Us, adding that she usually heads to her “hometown” in Kentucky. There, her “extensive” family lives on a farm and is “next door to each other,” she said.
“And he (Cruise) has all his cousins and family, so there’s a lot of love there,” Cartwright explained.
“And that’s very important to me. And I don’t want him to miss out on that. And I don’t want to miss out on that either.”
Television personality Taylor, 36, said she would be “having her own Christmas” with her son. “We’ll see what happens,” she added. “A lot of things have changed now, so we have to manage.”
The “Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky” alum also confessed that finalizing her divorce from Taylor, 46, by the end of the year would be “the best Christmas present.”
Cartwright also touched on Taylor’s decision to step away from “The Valley” in July to work on his sobriety, mental health and co-parenting with his estranged wife.
Cartwright revealed that filming without Taylor on the show was “a lot less stressful.” “So, that was amazing.”
The former couple famously met in Las Vegas in 2015, and Cartwright has since moved to Los Angeles to appear on Vanderpump Rules with Taylor.
The two aired one season of the spinoff Jax and Brittany Go to Kentucky in 2016, married in 2019 despite a rocky relationship, and announced their exit from Vanderpump Rules in 2020.
The real-life famous couple welcomed Cruise in April 2021, but three years later, Cartwright surprised fans by announcing his separation from Taylor.
“Jax and I are living separately. We have decided to move to another home to give us some space for our mental health,” she explained on the “When Reality Hits” podcast in February 2024.
Cartwright added that “this past year has been particularly difficult” and said she is focused on “being the best mother I can be to Cruise.”
However, Taylor insisted to Page Six at the time that they were still together. “We have kids, and we just want what’s best for them,” he told Us, emphasizing that the separation is “not a divorce” and that they’re still “trying to figure out” a plan to move forward.
Taylor then entered a mental health facility in July 2024, and a month later, Cartwright filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Cartwright has recently been linked to Brandon Hanson, and they were spotted vacationing together in Mexico in August. She announced their breakup in October.
