Don’t force it on her.
Britney Spears appeared to give a bizarre excuse to her Instagram followers over the weekend about her erratic driving.
“In case anyone was wondering if that lookalike wasn’t me…🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤓,” the 43-year-old Princess of Pop wrote on Saturday.
Video went viral late Thursday of the singer swerving dangerously into another lane after leaving the Red O Restaurant in Thousand Oaks, California.
Video obtained by Page Six on Friday showed the Grammy winner drifting into a bike lane, crossing a road median and making a U-turn, tires squealing.
Spears did not specifically mention the video, which featured a graphic of Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck hugging, in the video she uploaded to social media.
In a subsequent post, the pop star wrote, “Even when the most incredibly awful things are said about me, I don’t feel respected at all.”
Spears explained that she “just doesn’t feel inspired or motivated to show any new art,” but she did share an old video of herself painting.
The “Crossroads” star, who has turned off comments on her Instagram account, also modeled a pink swimsuit in an additional post.
Spears’ representatives have not yet responded to Page Six’s request for comment.
The Daily Mail reported that the songwriter’s family fears she is “losing control” as she promotes her shocking memoir, You Thought You Knew, about their time together with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
“There are a lot of concerns. … It’s scary,” the source told the outlet. “There’s a lot of discussion about what to do if something were to happen. How can we protect her from herself?”
Sources claimed Spears’ loved ones have been discussing the crisis.
Spears fired back at Federline’s claims, which range from cheating on her to taking cocaine while breastfeeding her son, through “X.”
“The constant gaslighting from (my) ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting,” she wrote. “The white man’s lie in that book is, they’re just going to go straight to the bank. And the only one who’s really getting hurt here is me.”
Meanwhile, her publicist said the former backup dancer’s book was a way to “exploit and profit” from his ex-wife’s story.
