Britney Spears’ Instagram account has been deleted after she was arrested for drunk driving in Ventura County, California, on Wednesday.
As of this article’s publication, when someone visits the “Toxic” singer’s page, they see a message that says, “Sorry, this page is no longer available. The link you followed may be broken or the page may have been removed.”
This mysterious social media move came in the wake of news of Spears’ arrest.
Page Six confirmed that the pop star, 44, was handcuffed by the California Highway Patrol in Ventura County around 9:28 p.m. local time.
Spears was held at the jail for three hours before finally being released at 6:07 a.m. Thursday morning, according to Ventura County Sheriff’s inmate records.
TMZ reports that Spears was taken to the hospital immediately after her arrest, where authorities had her blood drawn to test her blood alcohol level.
The Grammy winner’s next court date is scheduled for May 4.
Spears’ longtime attorney, Cade Hudson, said in a statement to Page Six that her arrest was “a completely unacceptable and unfortunate event.”
Hudson added: “Britney intends to take the right steps and abide by the law, and we hope this is the first step in the long overdue changes that should occur in Britney’s life. We hope she gets the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
The talent manager said Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, “are going to be spending time with her.”
“Her loved ones will make the necessary plans that are overdue to help her succeed and be happy,” he concluded.
Hours before her arrest, the “Oops! I Did It Again” singer posted a video of herself dancing at home on Instagram.
One of the videos is very similar to the one she posted last week, where she suffered a wardrobe malfunction while dancing seductively.
In the clip, set to the song “Rockabye” by Clean Bandit, Spears slips while wearing a lace lingerie bodysuit.
After spilling out of her bodysuit, the “Crossroads” actress adjusted her top and edited the clip to cover her exposed breasts with red emojis.
Spears’ DUI arrest comes more than four months after she was caught driving erratically after a night out with friends.
After Spears’ ex Kevin Federline published a tell-all book containing abuse and drug claims, a video surfaced of Spears leaving a restaurant in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and getting into the driver’s seat of her black BMW after several people allegedly tried to stop her.
An onlooker told the Daily Mail that the “Gimme More” singer “almost ran over a friend while pulling out” from the parking lot.
Oliver Wynn, the restaurant manager who served Spears that night, claimed that Spears was “not drunk” and did not order alcohol with her meal.
However, Wynn revealed that a fan bought Spears a glass of wine.
The following month, Spears was also seen leaving a wine bar with a champagne flute in hand. However, her team insisted that she did not drink alcohol during the outing.
In December 2025, Spears was spotted carrying a toy baby carrier and wearing a mysterious ring after a vacation in Cabo.
The mother-of-two’s family and fans expressed concern after she was spotted dancing in her Los Angeles mansion with the floor covered in dog poop.
A source close to the “Circus” singer’s family previously told the Daily Mail they were “concerned” about her, adding that she was “not at all well” and “worried about her future.”
“Her house is a mess. She doesn’t clean up after the dog, she doesn’t have anyone to clean it every day, and she doesn’t function like an adult,” they told the outlet.
However, Spears defended her home, which was covered in feces and urine, writing on Instagram: “The people who criticized my home in their pajamas should be ashamed!!!”
In November 2021, the “Lucky” songstress was famously released from her 13-year legal conservatorship.
