Oops, she did it again.
Britney Spears slammed her “sweet and innocent” family on social media after celebrating Christmas with her 20-year-old son Sean Preston.
“A late Christmas to my beautiful family who have never disrespected me, never hurt me, never done anything that is completely unacceptable and never caused me incredible trauma that cannot be repaired,” the singer captioned a photo of what appears to be her Christmas tree on Instagram on Sunday.
“Dear, innocent and loving family…I’m so sorry that this Christmas has been so busy, but I’ll definitely show up soon and surprise you…I can’t wait…”
She then wrote to Jamie Lynn Spears’ 7-year-old daughter: “Hello beautiful Ivy (sic)…I just want to hug you, my love…Godspeed my friend.”
Britney reportedly spent Christmas Day with her youngest son Jaden, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
TMZ reported that the pair had a “great” time, even though Sean Preston was unable to attend due to work commitments.
But Britney’s eldest son made time to visit Jamie Lynn, 34, in Louisiana.
The “Sweet Magnolia” star also included her nephews in a group photo posted to Instagram on Thursday, along with her mother Lynne Spears and her eldest daughters Maddie and Ivy.
The “Stronger” singer welcomed Sean Preston and Jaden with Federline when they married from 2004 to 2007.
After losing custody of the boys in 2008 due to their mother’s erratic behavior, court violations and substance abuse issues, the two boys publicly distanced themselves from their mother in 2022, accusing her of causing them “emotional trauma.”
The following year, they moved to Hawaii with his father and his wife, Victoria Prince.
Despite the situation, Britney “never gave up” hope of reconciling with her sons, Page Six revealed in 2024.
Jaden contacted the Princess of Pop via text message and the two have reunited several times since then.
Unlike his brother, Jaden “still has mixed feelings” towards his mother, but the two are “slowly rebuilding” their relationship.
“Seeing Jaden and Britney reunite gave him hope for their future,” a source told Us Weekly in September. “She’s so grateful for what they’ve brought into her life. She feels whole again.”
As for her family, the “Woman in Me” author has been estranged from her family since her 13-year conservatorship ended four years ago.
Since then, she has had a “non-existent” relationship with her father, Jamie Spears, and a “fragile” relationship with her mother and sister.
However, the “I Wanna Go” singer is close with her brother Brian Spears and one of her cousins.
