Drop the beat.

Pete Bowditch, one half of British rap duo Pete & Bass, was left hanging from the ceiling after passing out during a concert during a recent show.

The shocking incident reportedly happened in Chicago on Monday night, according to Jam Press, and a video shared to the couple’s Instagram pages showed the older hip-hop artist performing the track while suspended from a harness on stage.

However, Bowditch lost consciousness midway through the song, passing out as a stunned crowd looked on.

Footage of the incident showed Bowditch’s head falling forward, his arm falling to his side and his microphone falling to the stage below.

Meanwhile, the three dancers below the rapper continued to perform while Bowditch hung several feet above his head.

Bowditch and his hip-hop partner Basil Belgrave took to social media to reassure their more than 2 million followers that Bowditch would be okay after the terrifying incident.

“Update from management: We would like to apologize for last night’s show. The good news is that Pete is currently in stable condition,” the pair’s team wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

“We plan to issue refunds to all ticket holders,” they added. “All current European tour dates will continue to take place.”

Pete & Bass did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

According to BBC News, Bowditch’s passion for rap began in 2017 when his granddaughter played hip-hop music in her car.

He then asked longtime friend Belgrave to start a music career with him as Pete & Bass, and the duo has since released nearly 40 singles.

In 2017, they released “Shut Ya Mouth” on YouTube, which quickly went viral.

Pete & Bass have not only launched several tours and amassed millions of fans on social media, but they’ve also collaborated with hip-hop icon T-Pain.
