Die My Love (Seamus McGarvey), Marty Supreme (Darius Khondji), and Sinners (Autumn Arkapaw Arkapaw) were all shortlisted for feature films by the British Guild of Cinematographers.

Rounding out the category were “Frankenstein” (Dan Rostin) and “One Battle After Another” (Michael Bauman).

Among the TV dramas nominated were “The Studio,” “Adolescence,” “Black Mirror,” and “Tusk.”

Bauman and Al Capau received their first nominations, while Khondji received his fourth nomination. McGarvey received his sixth nomination. He previously won for “Anna Karenina” and “Nocturnal Animals.”

Last year’s winner, Lol Crawley, who won for “The Brutalist,” won both an Oscar and a BAFTA.

Christopher Ross BSC, Chairman of the British Society of Cinematographers, commented: “I would like to congratulate all the cinematographers nominated this year. 2025 is a special year of artistry in our craft and the nominations announced today reflect not only the scope of projects but also the face of cinematography worldwide. We look forward to toasting everyone at the awards in February.”

Nominations for the BSC John Alcott Memorial Award, BSC Bert Easy Technical Achievement Award and BSC Lifetime Achievement Award will be announced at a later date. The British Institute of Cinematographers, in collaboration with the Society of Cameramen and the British Guild of Camera Technicians, will award the Operator’s Award – Best Feature Film and the Operator’s Award – Best Television Drama, to be announced at a later date.

The winners will be announced on February 7th in the Great Room of the Grosvenor House Hotel.
