Brianna Middleton and Kyle Allen have been cast as the leads in Getaway Entertainment’s new conspiracy thriller Tilt, which will begin filming in the greater Los Angeles area in early April.
According to the official description, “Tilt” follows a struggling freelance reporter (Middleton) and movie buff Jake (Allen) as they investigate a citywide conspiracy against the backdrop of the roaring Los Angeles wildfires. The film will be directed by Sophia Banks and written by Arwen Ellis Deighton. Damiano Tucci will serve as producer. Banks, Dayton and Tucci are co-founders of the production company Getaway Entertainment.
Middleton recently finished production on Apple TV’s sci-fi series Neuromancer, co-starring Callum Turner. At Apple, he also appeared in the 2023 thriller Sharper alongside Julianne Moore, Sebastian Stan, and Justice Smith. Her most recent film role was starring in Josalyn Smith’s indie romance Ride or Die, which premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival.
Allen will soon be seen alongside Alan Ritchson in Amazon MGM’s untitled war epic. His most recent film role was in Kathryn Bigelow’s potboiler “A House of Dynamite.” He also appeared in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story and Kenneth Branagh’s The Ghost of Venice.
Director Banks said, “This film is very close to my heart and was a dream I created with Arwen.” “This is personal and I wanted to shoot it in Los Angeles. I wanted to see female characters break free and try to make it in Los Angeles. Brianna and Kyle are a dream cast and I’m excited to be able to shoot on location like my favorite ’70s American movies. ‘Tilt’ is also a love letter to the world of cinema, a world that I hold very dear.”
Mr. Middleton is repped by Rhonda Price of Gersh and Ken Lee of Brillstein Entertainment Partners. Allen is repped by Brian Nosokov at UTA and Beau Swayze at Entertainment 360. Banks will be replaced at the Range by Kevin Hussey.
