Bradley Cooper acknowledged that people have been complimenting his appearance lately and addressed the plastic surgery speculation.
“People have been coming up to me the last few weeks,” the “A Star Is Born” actor told “Smartless” podcast hosts Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes during the Jan. 5 episode.
“They say, ‘Oh, you look cool!’
The Oscar nominee made the comment after Arnett recalled a previous interview in which he was asked to name something people don’t already know about the “Maestro” actor.
“I said, ‘Well, there’s a lot,'” Arnett said.
“And I was going to say this, because we keep reading this article: ‘Everyone thinks Bradley has had plastic surgery.'”
Arnett continued, “I’m like, ‘What people don’t know is he doesn’t know.'” Of course he hasn’t. ”
He added, “It pissed me off because people say things like that all the time. And I think it’s so funny. Everyone thinks they know. I know you read that bullsh*t.”
Bateman, on the other hand, joked that he had been “cut to ribbons” by cosmetic surgery. “But look what’s worth it,” he said as his co-hosts laughed. “Look at this!”
Cooper previously underwent a remarkable transformation when he played famed composer Leonard Bernstein in the 2023 film Maestro.
The Hangover actor, 51, who shares daughter Lea De Seine, 8, with ex Irina Shayk, sparked rumors of plastic surgery when he and Arnett began starring in the film Is This Sing On? in late 2025.
Social media users noted at the time that Cooper’s appearance appeared to have changed significantly.
“Women get a lot of flak every time they get plastic surgery, so why aren’t they talking about Bradley Cooper?” one person wrote via X in December, along with a photo of the star.
Another lamented in a social media post that the actor “doesn’t even look like the same person anymore!”
“That’s probably a stuntman. It can’t be him,” a third person speculated.
The comments came as Cooper’s romance with Gigi Hadid, 30, who has been rumored to have been dating since October 2023, escalates.
A source told the Daily Mail last month that Cooper was seriously considering modeling for Victoria’s Secret and had taken a big step toward making an offer.
“Bradley asked Yolanda to marry Gigi,” a source told the outlet in December.
“He wants her to know how serious he is about Gigi and how he plans to build a solid family with her in New York.”
