Blake Lively has won her legal battle with a public relations firm connected to Justin Baldoni.
A judge ruled Wednesday that a Texas court does not have jurisdiction to address a lawsuit filed in the Lone Star State in February by crisis public relations expert Jed Wallace, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
It’s unclear whether Mr. Wallace, who owns Street Relations, plans to refile the defamation suit in another state.
Page Six reached out to Wallace’s representatives for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
In a separate lawsuit filed in December 2024, Lively, 38, accused her “It Ends with Us” co-star and director Justin Baldoni of conspiring to damage her reputation with an online smear campaign in retaliation for sexual harassment accusations.
Mr. Baldoni has denied any wrongdoing.
The mother of four claims in her lawsuit that Mr. Baldoni’s team hired Mr. Wallace and his company, Street Relations, to weaponize a “digital army” to damage her reputation on several online forums, including Reddit.
In response, Mr. Wallace filed a defamation suit against Mr. Lively, alleging that her allegations have caused “millions of dollars in reputational damage and is expected to result in additional losses to the company in excess of $1 million.”
But Judge Lewis Lehman ruled last week that Lively’s lawyers could not prove that Wallace had the connections to sue in New York because he is based in Austin, Texas.
A judge later dismissed Lively’s lawsuit against Wallace, balancing the odds between the parties, but leaving open the possibility that the “Another Simple Favor” star could sue the Texas social media operative.
“We are grateful for today’s court order making clear that the claims against Mr. Wallace never belong in this court,” said Brian Friedman, Mr. Baldoni’s attorney.
“Allegations that he participated in defamatory activities are unsubstantiated and this court dismisses all claims against him.
“The other defendants look forward to proving in court that Ms. Lively’s claims against them are without merit,” the prominent lawyer added.
Meanwhile, Lively is suing Baldoni, 41, for sexual harassment.
In response, the “Five Feet Apart” director filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against her husband, former co-star Ryan Reynolds, and publicist Leslie Sloan.
Baldoni’s lawsuit was dismissed in June by a judge who said Lively’s claims about the father of two were “privileged” in legal documents.
They are scheduled to head to trial in March 2026 on Lively’s ongoing lawsuit against Baldoni.
