Blake Lively enjoyed some quality time with husband Ryan Reynolds before the holidays.
On Wednesday, November 26, the Gossip Girl alum, 38, posted a selfie from her date night with the Deadpool star, 49, on her Instagram Story, showing the couple smiling while out and about in New York City.
“Putting my hair to good use for a night out,” Lively wrote on the snapshot, adding below that, “I’m spying on the Empire Hotel (if you know, you know).” (The Empire Hotel was featured heavily on Gossip Girl; Lively and other cast members were often seen filming there, drawing large crowds of fans.)

Lively and Reynolds first met on the set of Green Lantern in 2010. They started dating the following year and got married in September 2012. The couple have four children, daughters James, 10, Inez, 8, and Betty, 5, and son Orin, 2.
The date night comes amid Lively’s ongoing legal battle with her Seraph of the End co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
The film was released in theaters on August 9, 2024, and since then, Lively and Baldoni’s courtroom drama has continued to unfold in the public eye.
Lively filed a complaint in December 2024 alleging that Baldoni, 41, sexually harassed her on the set of the film, which is based on the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover.
She also accused him of trying to “destroy” her reputation with a calculated smear campaign, detailed in a New York Times article titled “‘Anyone Can Bury’: Inside Hollywood’s Smear Machine.”
Less than two weeks later, she filed a formal lawsuit against the Jane the Virgin alum for sexual harassment, breach of contract, infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy.
However, Baldoni denies all of her accusations and filed his own $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their PR team.
After co-plaintiffs Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios missed a deadline to file an amended complaint in their counterclaim against Lively, U.S. District Judge Louis J. Lehman formally ended the counterclaim on October 31st.
A trial on Lively’s claims is scheduled to begin in March 2026.
