Sony Pictures executives have branded Blake Lively a “fucking terrorist” after tensions rose on the set of her and Justin Baldoni’s “It Ends With Us,” set for release in August 2024.

Mr. Giannetti, executive vice president of production and senior creative at the media company, acknowledged making the comments during a September 2025 deposition that was unsealed Tuesday ahead of a summary judgment hearing in Mr. Lively’s lawsuit against Mr. Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios.

According to People magazine, Gianetti was asked if he had made that statement to Wayfarer CEO Jamie Heath after learning that Lively, 38, had threatened to quit the film unless he complied with a long list of demands, to which he replied, “Yes.”

Giannetti testified that Sony had already invested “an enormous amount of money” into the project and felt that “we had to finish it… or we couldn’t release it.”

Giannetti went on to say that she doesn’t recall Lively ever telling her that Baldoni or Heath, who starred and directed “It Ends with Us,” did anything specific on set that made her uncomfortable.

After the film’s release, Giannetti sent Lively a text message praising her work.

“Blake, $50 million!! Your blood, sweat, tears, brilliant brains, heart and soul are in every frame,” Giannetti wrote. “Oh my god, that’s incredible. Thank you 50 million times. And it’s Saturday night.”

Jannetty said in her testimony that her message referred only to the film’s “huge” box office success.

Lively’s list of demands included no impromptu intimate scenes, no pornography, any discussion of sexual experiences or genitalia, and no comments about body shape, weight or personal life.

Mr. Baldoni, 41, and Mr. Heath agreed to the request. But Lively said that’s when they retaliated against her.

Her December 2024 lawsuit alleges that Baldoni and his Wayfarer team subsequently orchestrated a smear campaign against her to tarnish her reputation, and alleges sexual harassment and retaliation.

Baldoni has repeatedly denied the allegations and in November 2025 asked the judge overseeing the case to dismiss the actress’ lawsuit.

A judge is expected to decide Thursday whether some or all of Lively’s claims will proceed to trial, which is scheduled for May 2026.
