Was the smear campaign suspicions intertwined against the producers of Blake Lively and Rebellion Wilson’s directorial debut? The latter attorney has named a new accused familiar to Lively following the legal battle with Justin Bardoni crisis spokesperson Melissa Nathan, according to a mutual complaint filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
According to a new submission, the “Pitch Perfect” star has expressed interest in “one of those sites” in “one of those sites” in clear references to a series of anonymous websites targeting “fat” producer Amanda Ghost last summer by lying “grotesque” .
Last year, Ghost and fellow “fat” producers Gregor Cameron and Vince Holden sued Wilson for honour and loss of honor over a series of social media posts that accused Wilson of “inappropriate behaviour towards the lead actress for funding from the film’s budget.” With Thursday’s submission, they take it a step further, pointing to the hidden PR device behind Wilson’s Smear campaign against Ghosts.
“Essentially the Rebels want one of those sites… It should be a mixture of that documentary that Carolina thinks Amanda went or pulled an intern… It could be really tough… You can basically make her a madam with the Russian oligarch (.)” (The message is included in Thursday’s submission.
Later that month, anonymously written sites like Amandaghost.com and Amandaghostsucks.com popped up, claiming that Ghost was “Indian Gislain Maxwell” and “Madam, one of the richest men in the world.” (Ghost is an Indian descent.)
“Behind the scenes, (Wilson) used a paid PR professional to launch a shockingly low, racially recharged attack on another professional woman. Everyone went her own path in a business conflict and destroyed the reputation of a woman who was dared to stand up to her,” the complaint states in connection with the Ghost.
Ghost, represented by Shepherd Marine’s partner Kamille Vazquez, is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, claiming Wilson crossed every possible line in her bid to claim writing credits for the Australian Set musical that premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year.
“The increasing use of these disturbing PR tactics in Hollywood and elsewhere is working like cancer in our society,” Vazquez said in a statement. “They have manipulated the public, destroyed their reputations, made realistic and obvious sacrifices to their victims. Now is the time to shed light on these trolls hiding behind the keyboard and hold them accountable for the damages they cause.”
Nathan declined to comment.
The 21-page complaint portrays Wilson as a feminist who weaponizes her platform and destroys the reputation of her business partners when she refuses to acquiesce to her demands.
But what’s likely to raise your eyebrows is a link to the vibrant Bardoni case. Lively claims that Tag masterminded a smear campaign against her in the same month that the mystical, light-par website about Ghost first surfaced. Separately, but related, former Bardoni spokesperson Stephanie Jones sues Bardoni, Nathan and spokesperson Jennifer Abel for destroying her reputation. According to her own legal declaration, Jones was lightly paraded through an anonymous website, including http://www.stephaniejonesleaks.com, and in June declared that he “cannot identify the true identity of the individual or individual who created the website for honor and loss.” But it would appear to be at odds with the docket. According to another exhibit, web hosting company Hostinger International Ltd. responded to Jones’ subpoena five months before the declaration that Stephaniejonesleaks.com was created by Courtney Engel, a former Jones employee who has no professional connections with Nathan or Tag.
Still, Vasquez, who previously worked with Nathan when he represented Johnny Depp in the courtroom battle with the Amber Heard case, aims to portray a direct line between Wilson’s Ghost and the campaign allegedly took place against the lively Bardoni case.
“Mr. Ghost was informed and believed, and later claims that a person named “Jed” was involved in engaging and directing the publication of Honorary Impairment, Nathan and her staff, as well as the rebels, through the website.
It’s a reference to Jed Wallace, another important person in the lively Bardoni incident. The Texas-based social media guru began writing about the mystical rift between the director last summer, collaborating with Tag to enhance Baldoni’s image when media and influencers began to thrive on the film “It It Ending us.” Lively has been sued by Wallace for his delinquency.
