Rosé decided to wear a dramatic black and white dress at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
K-pop star’s hit song “APT”. ‘ has been nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Bruno Mars, who collaborated with Rosé on the song, spoke about their partnership in a recent interview with Billboard.
Rosé arrived at tonight’s Grammy Awards in a look befitting the momentous night. The Blackpink singer wore a black strapless minidress with dramatic white drapes and accessorized with Tiffany jewelry. She posed for herself.
This is the first time Rosé has been nominated as a solo artist. His single “APT.” with Bruno Mars was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
When the nominations were announced in November, Rosé took to Instagram to express her shock and gratitude. “I can’t believe my life,” she wrote. “I’m still trying to process everything. Thank you so much to everyone at @recordingacademy. This means so much to me and so many others. I’m incredibly grateful today. Look @brunomars!!! :,) 🩷🩷🩷🩷.”
In December, Rosé and Mars spoke to Billboard about “APT.” Mars said Rose was “secretly hearing information” from him, which she did not deny.
“I was trying to make the most of this meeting because I thought this was going to be our last, first and last meeting forever. I was like, ‘This is my moment, I need to get all the tips and all the help I can,'” she recalled. “There were a lot of things I was determined to learn[as I was starting my solo career]. I remember feeling like a very curious soul, wondering what I wanted to do with myself. So it was a good opportunity to meet new people in the industry.”
However, this encounter led to a true partnership and friendship. “In the beginning, he was an inspiration to me, not just for ‘APT,’ but for the album[Rosie],” she said. “I had little questions and things I didn’t understand…He was a big cheerleader for me at very important moments.”
Later in the interview, the two stars reflected on how the collaboration changed their careers.
“Even when I first wrote this song, there was a part of me that was a little scared of it,” Rosé said. “I could see people reacting to it and coming back and saying, ‘Can I ask you again?'” I was a little confused and didn’t know what it meant. And seeing what it became, what Bruno saw in it, and what the world saw in it, proved what music meant to people. I’m still trying to process it. I’m still learning from that as we speak. ”
Mars added, “I’m always trying to write something special. If I knew how to do it, I would write every day, and I don’t really. But I keep going to the studio and I keep trying. And you know how it feels when some kind of magic happens. …I got to work with some great people. It was great to be in the studio with Cirkat (producer) on this song. I would play the guitar and throw it to him and he would do something crazy.” That’s what everyone was trying to express on his laptop, and that’s what I meant to win, because it’s just hard, to be able to put it out there, to see her act, to see kids and adults sing this song, because that’s our job. If you’re lucky, they’ll dig deep into it. “What is this saying?” That’s the beauty of Rosie bringing this into the world. This is what it looks like. It’s a reminder that if you don’t feel that way, you’re probably not doing the right thing. ”
