David Geffen is accused of hiding his assets to avoid paying a large sum of money to his estranged husband, David Armstrong, in their divorce.
According to court documents filed Wednesday and obtained by Page Six, the former go-go dancer, also known as Donovan Michaels, claims that his ex-boyfriend, who is “one of the richest, most powerful and influential men in the world,” has “made repeated false attempts to present himself as an elderly ‘retiree.'”
But Mr. Armstrong, 32, argued in the filing that Mr. Geffen, 82, remains a “very important and powerful figure” among the wealthy. He also claimed that the film producer is one of the highest-paid people on the planet thanks to “myriad capitalist enterprises.”
Armstrong claimed in court documents that Geffen and his attorneys were “attempting to conceal” multiple cash flow streams.
Mr. Geffen, who is worth $9.1 billion, listed all of his monthly income and investment income as “N/A,” according to an amended income tax return obtained by Page Six.
Additionally, Mr. Geffen also listed his assets as “not applicable.”
Page Six reached out to Geffen’s attorney for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Mr. Armstrong’s claims came a day after news broke that he had dropped the bombing lawsuit against Mr. Geffen.
In the lawsuit, the model claims that the Asylum Records co-founder used “seduction” and “control” to “trap” her in a “cycle of dependence, submission, and humiliation.”
The suit has been asked to be dismissed without prejudice, meaning Armstrong could refile the case in the future.
Armstrong’s prominent lawyer, Brian Friedman, told TMZ that his client’s further “financial disputes” will be resolved privately in mediation.
Geffen claimed she has paid her ex $200,000 since they separated in February and also covers Armstrong’s $15,000 monthly rent.
The record company executive also claimed that Mr. Armstrong owned $5 million in jewelry, art and watches purchased by Mr. Geffen.
Armstrong and Geffen secretly married in March 2023 in a private ceremony in Beverly Hills, California.
In May, Geffen filed for divorce from Armstrong after two years of marriage and without a prenuptial agreement in place.
The following month, Armstrong filed a bombshell lawsuit alleging that her estranged husband allegedly paid her thousands of dollars for sex and groomed her.
“It was a terrible match. Michaels became a prop in Geffen’s virtue theater, paraded as evidence of Geffen’s supposed altruism, while being used as a private sexual commodity,” the lawsuit claims.
Mr. Armstrong also claimed that Mr. Geffen frequently employed sex workers, both male and female, through his “sexually open marriage” and “solicited” him with drugs such as cocaine, Molly and marijuana.
Mr. Geffen’s attorney denied Mr. Armstrong’s claims and said he would “vigorously and validly defend against this false and frivolous lawsuit.”
