Nina Dobrev wore a bikini for Thanksgiving in Mexico for the first time since splitting from longtime boyfriend Shaun White.
The Vampire Diaries star was pictured hanging out with friends at a beach resort, soaking up the sun while rocking a black and white striped bikini and sunglasses.
At one point, the actress had a large beach umbrella draped over her shoulder while holding a drink in her other hand.
The actress showed off several angles of a halter-style bikini that featured a revealing thong bottom during a sunny beach vacation.
Dobrev, 36, was also seen happily emerging from the waves with friends after taking a dip in the ocean.
The actress’ beach holiday comes two months after she ended her engagement to the Olympic champion, 39, after five years of dating.
“It was a mutual decision, and while it was not an easy one, it was made with love and deep respect for each other,” a source told People about their breakup in September.
Later that month, she was seen cozying up to Disney star Zac Efron while vacationing on a yacht with friends off the coast of Sardinia, but she later denied to TMZ that they were an item.
Days after their sudden split, a source told the Daily Mail that the pair had different priorities.
“Sean is retired and coming into his last Olympics. He was very ready for marriage and kids and everything that would come from there,” the official said, referring to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, where the pro snowboarder finished fourth in the men’s halfpipe.
“Nina was in attendance, but also very interested in what was next for her as an actress, because that was something that was very important to her,” they shared, adding that the athlete was also focused on “becoming an entrepreneur after her snowboarding career.”
Sources explained that White is now focused on family life as his athletic career has come to an end.
“He was preparing to become a father and wanted that life,” the source said.
“They had the same ideals and wanted to enjoy the same journey, but they were understandably unable to unite towards a common goal, which put a strain on their relationship.”
The source added that the two, who started dating during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, “got stuck in their own ways.”
“They were smart enough to get out of this while they were still young and able to leave each other without baggage,” the source said.
After four years of dating, White got down on one knee and asked Dobrev in October 2024.
“She said yes 💍♾️,” White captioned a series of photos of the romantic, flower-filled proposal. Dobrev also shared the news, captioning the post: “Rest in peace my boyfriend. Hello my fiance 💍♾️.”
