Bethenny Frankel makes a fuss over Skims’ hairy underwear going viral

Bethenny Frankel is just as confused as the rest of the internet by Kim Kardashian’s latest product launch.

The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum added her two cents to the discourse on Kardashian’s latest Skims collection, “Ultimate Bush,” with a scathing take on the fashion mogul’s shady marketing campaign for a new product called Faux Hair Panties.

“Skims Bush Underwear takes me back to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop candle: ‘This candle smells like my vagina.’ That candle on my worst day didn’t smell like Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina on my best day. I support that,” Frankel said via Instagram on Wednesday.

“I don’t actually understand it,” Frankel said. “Whose shrub was it modeled after? And can’t you grow one right now?” skim

The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum also added that the business move reminded her of the craze surrounding Goop’s now-discontinued “This Smells Like My Vagina” candle. goop x heretic

“Maybe she should have said, ‘These underwear smell like my bush,'” Frankel, 54, opined in an Instagram video. Perhaps it could have been taken to the next level. I think that’s understandable. But I’m just saying that in marketing, anything goes. ”

“Nevertheless, this is a clickbait, shock marketing idea that I don’t really understand. What was the R and D (research and development)? For example, whose shrubs were they modeled after? And can’t we just grow shrubs now?”

The woman has a point.

“People are mad that Sidney Sweeney is cute and selling jeans,” Frankel added, referring to the controversial American Eagle ad. “But it’s okay to just sell bushes. We’re upside down,” she declared, referring to the twisted reality depicted in the Netflix series “Stranger Things.”

Frankel is an experienced entrepreneur himself. She sold her company, Skinny Girl Margarita, in 2011 for a reported $120 million. She shared business advice, telling her 4 million followers, “Sell whatever you love.”

The “Kardashian Family” star, 44, announced the new product on Tuesday. The “Ultimate Bush” collection features a barely-there thong attached to the front in a variety of hair textures and shades. The product’s tagline is: “Turn your carpet into any color you want with our bold new fake hair panties.”

The accompanying promotional video, the 1970s-themed game show “Does the Carpet Match the Drapes?”, shocked the Internet.

Of course, it didn’t take long for fans to express their bewilderment at the serial entrepreneur’s foray into Merkin territory.

“Call 911,” one follower wrote, while another joked, “Just Googled the date to make sure it wasn’t April 1st.”

“Who asked for this??” and “@kimkardashian are you okay?” said a third netizen.

Skims’ fake hair panties are currently available for $32 each.
