Bethenny Frankel gives a “blind opinion” on West Wilson and Amanda Batula’s romance.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum took a TikTok while out to dinner Tuesday night defending the “Summer House” stars — even though she admitted she doesn’t know who they are.
“Oh, this was a reality show with producers and networks that stood to benefit in the same way Scandoval did?” she said, referring to the infamous “Vanderpump Rules” cheating scandal that broke out in 2023 between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Reavis.
“Okay, let’s move on.”
Frankel continued, “B, did the people who were ‘friends’ meet on the show? Because if they did, they’d have to take a few points off their friendship. Because the network wants us to think they were all friends, but in reality they aren’t, and they probably won’t be friends after that.”
The SkinnyGirl founder went on to defend Ms. Batula, 34, and Ms. Wilson, 31, noting that the Bravo show involves a lot of drinking and drama.
“All of these things are true, and this couple who are now a couple are consenting adults,” she said.
“If whoever it is is going to drag us, bully us, cane us like we did on the last Drunk show that made tens of millions of dollars and skyrocketed ratings because of its maniacal obsession with people who are just young kids they’ve never met and are in love with, then we’ll move on,” he added, again referencing “Vanderpump Rules.”
Frankel concluded, “Whoever these two are with now, obey God. We’ll be happy to sell them the wedding dresses they deserve. You’re welcome.”
She captioned the TikTok, “Fight me in the comments.”
On Tuesday, after weeks of speculation and mounting evidence, Mr. Batula and Mr. Wilson issued a joint statement confirming the secret “connection.”
“We never intentionally tried to hide anything,” they said. “Given the complex relationship dynamics and intense scrutiny that comes with appearing on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before talking about the show.”
They added: “We also recognize that this has an impact beyond just us, and we never wanted our actions to be hurtful or appear to be careless.
Batula is close friends with Wilson’s ex-girlfriend, Ciara Miller, and they dated for several months in 2023.
Minutes after Batula and Wilson posted their shocking statements, Miller, 30, was photographed slumped on a New York City sidewalk and being comforted by an unidentified male companion.
Page Six has learned that Batula and Wilson are in a “full-fledged relationship” and that her co-stars, including Miller and Batula’s estranged husband Kyle Cooke, are “upset” and “disappointed.”
Miller then unfollowed Batula and Wilson on Instagram.
