Bethenny Frankel is convinced that the towels she bought at a resort in St. Barts caused a very unpleasant bacterial infection on her face.
“So I got a bacterial infection from the towel,” the “RHONY” alum said in a TikTok video Thursday, referring to the rash she revealed on the same platform earlier this month.
Frankel claimed that something similar “happened once” to her daughter Bryn, 15, and that she “noticed” her when a patchy red rash appeared.
“Just like towels have germs on them, sheets have germs on them,” the reality star continued, referring to the “disgusting trash bins of towels and linens” she claimed to have seen in the “back of the hotel.”
Frankel, whose rash seemed to have cleared up, insisted that she didn’t wash her towel immediately after using it.
“It’s kept in a garbage can with food and drinks and heat, and I don’t know what it is, and I’m not going to go into it, but it’s not sanitary under any circumstances,” the Bravo star said.
Frankel (55) claimed, “Even a well-washed towel has bacteria left behind.Face cloths have bacteria on them.”
The reality star said a facialist informed her of this “a while ago” and told viewers that makeup sponges, powder puffs and makeup brushes can do the same thing.
“So we have to do the best we can,” she said.
“All I’m saying is I’ll never use hotel towels or sheets again,” she added, before ending her post with, “You’re welcome.”
Frankel made headlines earlier this month after spending the New Year’s holiday in St. Barts and returning home with a large rash on her face.
In the clip, she showed off both sides of her face, which was affected by a mysterious rash.
“POV: You left St. Barths 3 days early and brought home a bacterial infection,” she captioned a TikTok video at the time, adding, “St. Barths Allergies #ByeBye.”
She later said in another TikTok that she was “itching to get off” the tropical island.
In her characteristic style of humor, the swimwear designer also complained about paparazzi coverage of her beach vacation.
“I went swimming in the sea and the paparazzi looked at me like a drowned rat because I wasn’t wearing couture to the beach,” she joked.
