Bella Hadid was stopped by police shortly before her on-again, off-again boyfriend Adan Banuelos was arrested for being intoxicated in public, according to reports.
According to a police report obtained by TMZ, officers were parked in the parking lot of Gator’s Cantina in Weatherford, Texas, early Saturday morning when Banuelos approached them.
“I immediately noticed that Adan’s speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy,” the arrestee alleged in the report.
The report also said Banuelos “had the odor of alcoholic beverages on his breath” as he described being worried about Hadid.
According to the report, Banuelos claimed that Hadid had left her phone there and returned to the bar, adding that Hadid had “followed her” and “taken care of her.”
While speaking with Banuelos, his white truck continued to drive away with the dog, which he claimed belonged to Hadid, still inside, authorities wrote in the report.
Banuelos reportedly agreed to a field sobriety test after confessing to drinking “four” beers that day, which led to his arrest.
The report said Banuelos was taken into custody as a precaution against “driving a vehicle or potentially posing a danger to himself or others.”
“At the request of his girlfriend, identified as Isabella Hadid, I released Adan’s property and car to her,” the report said, according to the newspaper.
The professional cowboy was then taken to the Parker County Jail, where he was questioned, but he vehemently denied ever driving to the bar and refused to say who did it, according to reports.
The 36-year-old jockey reportedly told authorities that he was at home with a friend when Isabella got home and then left again to go to a bar.
“Adan said he and a friend followed Isabella in a truck, and when they arrived at the bar, the friend went inside and Adan walked to the stop.”
A representative for Hadid, 29, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment Wednesday.
Following TMZ’s initial report, Page Six confirmed on Saturday that Banuelos was arrested for public intoxication. He was released the same day after posting a small bond of $386.
Page Six confirmed early last week that he and Hadid had broken up after two years together, with sources calling their relationship “tumultuous.”
Rumors of a breakup first surfaced in June 2025, but were put to rest when Hadid shared a birthday wish for Hadid on Instagram in October, writing in part, “I love you, baby. How much I remind you every day.”
Sources told Page Six earlier this week that the pair’s difficulties may be due to differences in their lifestyles.
“She is the daughter of Mohamed Hadid and Yolanda Hadid,” a source said of the reality star and real estate mogul. “The way they grow is completely different.”
