It’s Dior deja vu.
Bella Hadid raided the Christian Dior archives over the weekend to attend the Milan launch party for her fragrance brand Orebella, wearing a pale blue-green fringed dress from the spring 1998 ready-to-wear collection.
The look has previously received A-list treatment, as Nicole Kidman wore the same design in the pages of Harper’s Bazaar Australia nearly 30 years ago.
Designed by John Galliano and styled by Mimi Cutrell, the floor-length brocade dress features sheer cut-out panels at the skirt and delicate fringes throughout.
The gown was originally part of Galliano’s “In a Boudoir Mood” collection, marking her second ready-to-wear outing with the luxury house. “As we approach the end of the 2000s, a return to romanticism and elegance begins, and I feel that we are entering the era of the Belle Époque,” he said at the time.
A version of the same design sold for 15,120 euros (approximately $17,600) at auction in Paris in November, La Gazette Drouot reported.
The dress was sourced by archival vintage specialists Rough Vintage, which also provided the 1995 Gianni Versace suit Hadid wore to greet fans outside the Ore Bella event in Douglas.
She styled the look with speckled peep-toe heels, a shiny black headband, and Valentino’s polka-dot Devane shoulder bag ($1,980).
Hadid wore an archival Thierry Mugler ivory silk skirt suit and Chopard jewelry to brunch at Orebella on Sunday, sporting vintage scars in the fashion capital.
A version of the belted couture jacket is available on 1stDibs for $985.
Earlier this week, she debuted the Miss Sixty x Bella capsule collection at the brand’s flagship store wearing head-to-toe denim, pairing the jeans with a white turtleneck, huarache-style heeled sandals and red-tinted sunglasses.
She also made her Prada runway debut at the label’s Fall 2026 show last week, walking not once but four times wearing layered looks by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons.
The designers cast just 15 models for the show and peeled back the layers from each look before sending them back down the runway for a total of 60 runway moments. This will be Hadid’s first return to the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week since 2022.
