Bella Hadid shared a vulnerable photo from her hospital room amid her battle with Lyme disease, and her supermodel sister, Gigi, provided words of support.
In some photos shared via Instagram on Wednesday, Bella was able to be seen connected to an IV in her hospital bed. In one snapshot she looked flushed as she tormented her mouth, while in another, her forehead covered in plastic wrap.
Olevera Perfume Creator 28 shared his photos in a vague Pikachu Onesie, a picture of Trump, and a snapshot of a late pizza dinner in a hospital bed. The final photo shows her hunched over the corner of the elevator while breastfeeding her coffee. “Sorry, I’ll always go to mia I love you guys,” she captioned the carousel.
It was one of the first comments made by her 30-year-old sister, Gigi. “I love you! I hope you feel as strong and good as you deserve, soon!!!!!” she wrote. “❤❤️ Lime Warrior,” Mama Yolanda Hadid said.
Pal Tarla Willis also provided words of comfort by writing, “You are a very beloved sweet bean.”
Fans also introduced the comment thread with encouraging words. Another chim, “You’ll pass this queen!!!”
Frankie’s bikini model did not specify why she was hospitalized, but provided a detailed update on Lyme disease treatment in a similar post from the hospital in 2023.
“I’ve been suffering little, and I’m sure I’m an adult proud of myself for not giving up on myself,” she captioned an August 2023 Instagram post.
“I’m exacerbating my time and work while trying to hit me in ways that I can’t really explain to people who live in this state and are proud of myself, my family, and the people who support me,” she continued. “That sad and sickness with the most blessing/privilege/opportunity/love around me was probably the most confusing thing ever.”
The supermodel detailed “nearly 15 years of invisible suffering,” but spread love “from the full cup” and said it was “worthy” to be herself “for the first time.”
Yolanda (61), who was also diagnosed with Lyme disease, revealed that Bella and her brother Anwar, 26, were diagnosed in 2012 during her emotional statement in 2015.
“The award is for Anwar and Bella,” she said she was being recognized at the global Lime Alliance Gala. “This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering.”
Bella and her family aren’t just celebrities fighting chronic illnesses. Justin Timberlake announced his diagnosis in July of “debilitating” illness.
Shania Twain confessed in the 2022 Netflix documentary “Not Just a Girl,” that she suffered from the “power outage” and “dizziness” spells before her 2003 diagnosis.
