Bella Hadid’s relationship with her cowboy boyfriend has been put to pasture.
Sources tell Page Six that the model and equestrian boyfriend Adan Banuelos have broken up after two years of dating.
A source said the pair had a “tumultuous” relationship, going on and off.
The breakup is said to be further complicated by the fact that Hadid and Banuelos have business ties and even bought a multimillion-dollar horse together.
It was a tough road.
The first time I heard that the two were on bad terms was in June.
In October, Banuelos posted a sweet Instagram wishing her a happy birthday, writing, “Despite all the chaos and ugliness, God has given us something pure and beautiful. I love you, baby. I remind you every day of how much.”
There was also a post in which she attended an event with him in early December, but there was no photo of them together.
By the end of December, sources began whispering to Page Six that the horse had flared up again.
Hadid vacationed with friends in Aspen, minus Banuelos.
Representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
Entertainment Tonight first reported the spitting incident.
The two started dating in the fall of 2023 after meeting at a horse show in Fort Worth, Texas.
“When I saw him come in, it was like a breath of fresh air,” she told British Vogue of the moment she first saw him.
The model hitched a ride to his fifth-wheel trailer at the beginning of their romance and bought a house in Texas.
“This young woman is one of the kindest, big-hearted, sweetest people I’ve ever met,” he said in a previous interview. “I mean, I didn’t know God made them that way.”
Banuelos is one of the most successful rodeo stars in recent years. At just 28 years old, he was inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Riders Hall of Fame. (Horse mutilation appears to be a rodeo training exercise in which a rider separates a single cow from a herd).
According to his website, the trainer has “already accumulated more than $5 million in earnings” over his career.
