In a new Instagram post, Baldwin, Ireland, shared a rare comment about her “bat” stepmother, Hilaria Baldwin.
The model joking about their unique bonds while celebrating the yoga instructor for “saving” Daddy Alec Baldwin’s life, congratulating her new “Dance with the Star” gig.
“I took a moment and wanted to talk about my stepmom @hilariabaldwin,” Ireland wrote Thursday. “I think they would be very surprised if people actually knew her like me.”
Model 29 acknowledged that her message “may come out of the left field” for some due to the decision that she rarely posts about her family life on social media.
“Hilaria has had a much more complicated and chaotic upbringing than she allows, so you think that’s probably why we bond with each other? She didn’t always feel safe.
Ireland also believed that 41-year-old Hilaria “turns (Alec’s) health” and brought out the “compassionate” part of the actor.
“She taught him that he doesn’t have to suffer in his head and be stuck in his past. It’s not too late to admit that you need help, and it’s not too late to learn to be kind to yourself.”
One mom even revealed that the host of the “Mom’s Brain” podcast is why she is now “closely related” with her father and why she gave her a big family that she “always wanted.”
“She has always respected me, accepted my flaws, accepted me, and always showed kindness to me,” Ireland continued. “I met her as a teenager and I needed her as an example.”
The actress wrote that she still “sees so much until her” and that she can’t wait for Hilaria Hiralia to “cheer her ass” when she competes in season 34 of “DWTS.”
“She deserves this! And while it’s not my place, this woman is a jewel and deserves all of love,” she concluded a sentimental message.
Alec, 67, and Hilaria married in 2012 and shared seven children, Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, Maria, 4, Ilaria, 2.
As Page 6 previously reported, this is not the first time Ireland has defended her stepmother over the years. She also spoke when yoga gurus self-identified as Spanish and caused repulsion with accents that many claim to be “fake.”
“It’s so pathetic, everyone wants to play detectives, so they’ll want to delve deeper into the lives of those they don’t know, they don’t know anything, people they’re actually raised, people they’re actually raised.
“I have a great relationship with her, and while she may be a truly malicious, terrible, and terrifying person who tears people apart, she is not. Hilaria is a great mother who cares for her children and she takes care of my father.
Ireland and her father were estranged for many years before the settlement. The model praised Hilaria for supporting Fix. Alec shares Ireland with his ex-wife Kim Bassinger, who was married from 1993 to 2002.
The father-daughter duo’s relationship came to mind in 2007 after the “Blue Jasmine” actor called her the “sensible little pig” in the voicemail that was leaked when she was only 11 years old.
Back in March, the “30 Rock” alumni reflected his controversial divorce from the 71-year-old Basinger, revealing that “the most unfortunate” was the way that hurt his eldest son.
“My daughter’s relationship with Ireland was very negatively affected by her divorce from her mother and very negatively affected by her very prolonged custody, where the media really partyed about everything,” he admitted.
He recalled that the public court battle was “just madness” and “really, really, really tough” for both him and his daughter.
Ireland and Alec have hit some rough patches in recent years, despite repairing their relationship.
In May 2023, Alec admitted that he “forgotten” to respect Ireland for the respect he made to his child after dropping accusations of involuntary manslaughter against him, which stemmed from the fatal 2021 on-set shooting on the set of his film “Rust.”
Later that month, Ireland responded by snapping her father on social media, tactically thanking her “partner’s parents” and her mother for visiting in hospital after giving birth to her daughter, Holland.
Despite the social media feud, Ireland introduced its daughter to Hilaria and Alec’s children in August 2024, sharing an adorable Dutch snap of meeting her young “aunt and uncle.”
