Bad Bhabi revealed that she received “bad news” from her doctors as her battle with cancer continues.
“My doctor gave me bad news yesterday. It’s not my cancer because God has the final say,” the rapper posted on X on Saturday.
Barbie first announced her cancer diagnosis in November 2024 after fans criticized her thin appearance.
“I’m sorry I lost weight due to chemo,” the 22-year-old artist, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. “I’m slowly getting better, so please stop carrying out your worst stories 💕”
Babbie did not elaborate on the details of her diagnosis, but family sources told TMZ that she does have cancer and is being treated by doctors.
At the time, she told Daily Mail paparazzi outside Los Angeles International Airport that she was “not ready” for the run-in but was otherwise “okay.”
The musician shot to fame in 2016 when he appeared on Dr. Phil’s segment “I want to give up on my 13-year-old daughter who stole my car, brandished a knife, and tried to make me a criminal.”
“Catch me outside, that’s what I always do, but they never catch me,” said Babbie, coining the phrase that established her stardom. “‘Nobody’s going to catch me. Why don’t you take me outside?’
This influencer soon became known as the “Cash Me Outside Girl” and began a rap career.
“I’ve always loved music. When I first started doing it, I wasn’t confident and didn’t think I could actually do it,” she enthused to Basic Magazine in 2023. “I used to work with a lot of co-writers, but now I do most of the writing myself. I’ve definitely evolved. I’ve always loved music and rap, so it was natural for me to make it my profession.”
Reflecting on his work, Babbie added, “A lot of the old music felt a little childish, but I was young, 14 and 15.”
“I’m 18 years old now. I definitely want to show that I’m more mature, both in terms of content and its delivery,” the social media personality continued. “I’ve been making a lot of music on my own, but it’s mostly what the labels wanted. When they sign me, they only think about hits and marketing, especially since I was young. I didn’t have a lot of options and I didn’t have a strong voice. But now I’m older. I understand the game now.”
At the same time as becoming more confident in the studio, Bubby became a mother at the age of 20.
She gave birth to a daughter, Cali Love, with ex-boyfriend Le Vaughn in March 2024.
“I feel ready to become a mother,” Babbie told Paper magazine a month before giving birth. “I’m really looking forward to doing the little ‘mother and daughter’ things together. I can’t wait to dress her, take her shopping, spend some one-on-one time, travel around. Just the simple things.”
In a May 2025 podcast interview with Camila Araujo, the “Otaku” singer spoke at length about the joys of motherhood.
“The only thing that makes me happy is being a mom,” she gushed, before adding of Cali, “I just love watching her do things.”
According to Babbie, her daughter “has my attitude.”
Meanwhile, the star was first associated with Le Vaughn in 2020.
Babie and Le Vaux, who accused her of physical abuse in July 2024, have broken up and gotten back together many times.
