But curiosity peaked when he was first reported to be dating Kendall Jenner in 2023. That same year, Bunny told Vanity Fair that she had “no interest” in speaking publicly about her romantic relationships. Probably because there was a lot of speculation about her relationship with Jenner.
“I’m not really interested in revealing anything because I’m not going to reveal anything to anybody,” he said.
It looks like the two will completely break up in 2024. However, interest in the rapper’s love life has not waned, especially as his career reaches new heights. He confirmed on Instagram that he will headline the Super Bowl halftime show on February 8, 2026, writing, “What I feel is beyond myself. This is for those who came before me and ran for countless yards so I could go out and score a touchdown…This is for my people, my culture, and our history.”
The week before the Super Bowl, Bunny made history at the Grammy Awards, where DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS became the first all-Spanish album to win Album of the Year. At the show, the musician wore a diamond Cartier ring on his left ring finger, which prompted some questions about his relationship status.
A source told TMZ that the ring had no purpose other than being a nice piece of jewelry. The source added that the rapper is currently single and will remain so until tonight’s Super Bowl halftime show performance.
Here’s what we know about his previous relationships.
Carlis de la Cruz Hernández: 2011-2017
When Bad Bunny’s star began to rise, he was in a long-term relationship with lawyer Carlis de la Cruz Hernández. The former couple met at the University of Puerto Rico when they were students and even worked at the same grocery store in the town of Arecibo. According to the Associated Press, the two reportedly got engaged in January 2016. However, by May of that year, their paths diverged and they decided to part ways. While attending law school at the University of Puerto Rico, Bunny signed with the record label Limas Music. They briefly reconciled in 2017, but later claimed to have broken up for good.
Gabriela Berlingeri: 2017-2022
Gabriela Bergeri, a jewelry designer from D29, began dating the rapper in 2017 and they continued their relationship on and off until 2022. In a May 2020 interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Bunny said he met Berrugeri in Puerto Rico after a Zion and Lennox concert.
“I met her at a restaurant when I was having dinner with my parents and siblings,” he said. “We started talking and continued seeing each other from there.”
He added, “I’m happy with her… (People) don’t know that she helped me a lot emotionally when I needed it the most… Do people really think I’m spending the quarantine period alone? No, I’m with someone. She’s very special in my life. In this quarantine period, I realized that she is the best companion for me.”
He also told the magazine that he and Berlingeri collaborated on the song “Te Gusté,” which he recorded with Jennifer Lopez.
“Nobody knows this, but when I did the song I did with J.Lo (‘Te Gusté’), Gabriella recorded a reference to J.Lo’s vocals,” he said.
The two were first photographed together three years later, in February 2020, when they attended a Miami Heat basketball game. The pair’s first official red carpet appearance was at the Premios Billboard de la Musica Latina in September 2021.
And in November, they were photographed at the 22nd Latin Grammy Awards ceremony in Las Vegas.
In August 2020, rumors of marriage spread after Gabriella was seen wearing a diamond on her ring finger in a video shot by Bunny herself. He denied marriage in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying, “No, I’m not that married,” before talking about a possible engagement.
“Maybe that’s it,” he teased. “But I think weddings and getting married are very scary.”
After that, Berlingeri appeared several times in music videos and on the rapper’s social media accounts. Her vocals were featured on his 2022 song “El Apagón.”

The couple looked like they would quietly break up by August 2022, but they still remain on good terms. It seems that he attended her birthday party in January 2023. Then, in February 2026, she reportedly reshared a post about his Grammy win on Instagram.
Kendall Jenner: 2023-2024
Reports that Bunny was dating Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kendall Jenner first began circulating in early 2023 when Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi claimed the two were spotted having an affair at a “private club” in Los Angeles.
A source who spoke to People said the two were “spending time together.”
“Kendall recently started dating him,” another source said. “They were introduced by friends. He moved to Los Angeles a few weeks ago and bought a house. She likes him and enjoys him. He’s different from the guys she’s dated in the past. He’s very attractive.”
By late February, a source told Entertainment Tonight that things could get more serious, adding, “Kendall and Bad Bunny are attracted to each other and definitely have a flirtatious vibe. They’re new to the relationship, but they’re enjoying each other’s company and they like each other. They have mutual friends and had dinner with Hailey, Justin, and friends at Wally’s in Beverly Hills on Saturday night. So far, they’ve both had fun.”
Reports of sightings are increasing rapidly, and in April, a photo was released of them leaving the popular celebrity spot “Carbon” together and getting into the same car.
In another attention-grabbing moment, they were seen looking super chic as they left their hotel to attend the Met Gala afterparty.
However, they did not pose for official photos at a public event until they sat front row at the Gucci show in Milan in September 2023.
This seems to be part of Gucci’s suitcase campaign.
A few months later, rumors of a breakup surfaced as they were not seen together for a while. In November, Jenner posted a cryptic Instagram caption that read, “All that’s meaningful to me is just finding me.”
In mid-December, People confirmed it was over.
A source further told Entertainment Tonight, “Kendall and Bad Bunny have been doing their own thing lately, and things were slowly starting to stall between them. They both knew this relationship wasn’t going to last forever, and they mutually understood that from the beginning. They both have insanely busy schedules, are still young, and know they have a lot more to experience personally before settling down.”
However, according to TMZ, they were spotted spending the New Year in Barbados with a group of friends. In late May 2024, they were photographed at a Met Gala afterparty, and Entertainment Tonight’s sources revealed they were reunited.
“Kendall and Bad Bunny still keep in touch and spend time together whenever possible,” the source said. “Whenever they’re together, there’s a strong connection between them and they always have the same chemistry.”
“They’re having fun for now, but want to resolve things in a meaningful way,” the source continued. “They’re not necessarily back together or have anything special, but there’s definitely a vibe between them. Neither of them feels pressured and is grateful to be able to enjoy the space whenever they want. Things between them are casual, easygoing, and comfortable.”
On May 30th, People magazine reported that the two were back together, with a source saying, “Things are going well and they are prioritizing spending time together as they work out solutions.”
The romance lasted until September, and a source told Us Weekly on September 25 that the two are “still friendly, but have taken a step back and are not dating.”
Bunny has not commented on the breakup, but in a January 2025 interview with Time magazine, he was asked if the lyrics about missing someone in “DtMF” were about the model.
He avoided speaking explicitly about Jenner, instead saying: “I’ve written songs inspired by people who have no idea who they are. A song can mean many things, like the absence of someone who is no longer with you, or love. But it can also mean many other things that are no longer with you.”
