To say that the artist has taken over 2025 is an understatement. For his legacy of devoted fans, Debí Tirar Más Fotos was not an introduction to greatness, but a celebration of a career journey that began more than a decade ago.

For the second year in a row, the Super Bowl halftime show has selected artists who are currently making headlines. Benito Martinez Ocasio native Bad Bunny had a topic that could not be denied.
The versatile artist appeared at the 2025 Met Gala and once again showed off his sense of style after serving as one of the co-chairs in 2024.

What’s more, he began to follow every corner of the culture to get to know Americans just because he is everywhere. He has appeared three times as a musical guest on Saturday night live performances since 2021, and most recently in the show’s milestone season 50 finale, making several cameos with various sketches. On October 4th, he will be hosting for a second time.
He also played a passionate caddy alongside SNL alumnus Adam Sandler on his favorite of the summer, and introduced more comedic chops. On the set, he was with Travis Kelse, so he hopes to bring Taylor Swift with him during his hosting gig the day after Swift dropped his showgirl life.

Despite all these achievements, it’s a year reminiscent of Kendrick Lamar’s 2024, landing him on the Super Bowl stage, but there are some accidental people who aren’t excited about the choice. Be careful, Bad Bunny isn’t even a stranger on the Super Bowl halftime show stage. He came in when Jennifer Lopez and Shakira made headlines in 2020.
Remember, you don’t notice that there has been a considerable number of rebounds in recent years on other headliner subjects. Kendrick. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Briguet and Snoop Dogg at Super Bowl LVI in 2022. Lopez and Shakira in 2020. Not even Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, or Beyoncé herself could please everyone.
If we were honest, it was a long time as there was a universally popular halftime show pick. We can argue the reasons for that ad infinitum, but that’s what it is.

Bad Bunny had a year that produced many fans, and essentially had a lot of hatred. The haters can’t undermine what Bad Bunny means to Latino, Puerto Rican, and fans of beautiful musical bodies. With this album and the latest turn of his career, he continues to welcome people. It may not be your own culture, but it holds qualities that are relevant to many people.
As an artist, he has managed to not only welcome his world for others, but also make others more welcome in his own world. With just one scroll through Tiktok, countless “Sabo No Sabo” children – those who are not taught Spanish as a way to assimilate into the English-speaking country are inspired by learning his lyrics. There is an endless translation of the lyrics to English for the audience who traces the raw sounds of his tracks before understanding their depths.
The album managed to speak to people about Puerto Rico. Is it arguing about the values of a nation, or what it means to be American in various fields that encompass our nation?
Benito summarises the enormous feelings of pride and excitement in this moment in time, saying, “It’s for my people, my culture and our history so that I can come before me and run countless yards and get a touchdown.
You can oppose your choice, but the bottom line, you cannot be surprised by it. Each of us has the freedom to stand up a bit and do other things on the day of the game if this is not the show you are looking for. As for me, I’m tuned and turned up and ready to celebrate fellow American Mi Gente.
