It’s like having two peas in a pod.
Lewis Pullman and fellow Nepo baby Maya Hawke bonded over their famous parents while filming their new movie Wishful Thinking.
“Initially, we had a lot more things we wanted to bond over, but of course we ended up talking about it,” the “Salem’s Lot” actor exclusively told Page Six on Thursday at the world premiere of his new sci-fi romantic comedy at SXSW 2026 in Austin, Texas.
Lewis is the son of “Casper” star Bill Pullman and dancer Tamara Hurwitz, while Maya’s parents are legendary actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.
“But yeah, we’re very similar in a lot of ways,” he added.
Lewis said that despite growing up with famous parents, he and Maya “have had very different experiences.”
“You know, no matter what, every parent is different,” the “Thunderbolts” actor told Us.
Additionally, they deepened their “view of the industry” and bond as musicians.
In 2024, the Stranger Things actress publicly acknowledged being a Nepobaby and said she believed her parents’ bond influenced her appearance in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
“When I told them on the red carpet that I had auditioned, they teased me a lot about this clip,” Maya told The Times of London at the time.
“I never meant to imply that I didn’t get the role because of nepotism. I totally agree,” she added.
When asked if she thought she deserved the opportunities she had, Maya said, “The word ‘deserving’ is complicated…There are a lot of people who don’t deserve to live a life like this, but I don’t think I deserve it and I’m happy to do it anyway.”
“And I know that anything I don’t do won’t help anyone. When I first started working, I saw two paths. One of them was to change my name, get a nose job, and go to open casting,” she added.
As for Lewis, he previously told The Hollywood Reporter that he knows he’s “definitely lucky” because of his parents’ fame.
“The hardest thing to get is the opportunity to gain experience and find your comfort in a very strange situation,” he told the outlet.
“And it took me so long to get comfortable in front of the camera and forget it was there. I wouldn’t have gotten that if I didn’t get all the opportunities to do that.”
Lewis is also dating Nepobaby, the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Casamigos tequila co-founder Rande Gerber.
Meanwhile, Maya married musician Christian Lee Hutson on Valentine’s Day.
