Avatar: Fire and Ash continued to draw audiences on New Year’s Eve, topping the box office with $8.1 million. The film became another Christmas highlight for James Cameron and Disney. Disney acquired all rights to Pandora when it acquired Fox in 2019. It grossed just over $250 million in its first two weeks in theaters, and did even better overseas. It should cross $1 billion worldwide within the next few days.
