Diane Keaton was taken by ambulance from her home in Los Angeles on Saturday, and a call to the fire department revealed a “person lying on the ground.”

In audio of the call obtained by TMZ, the dispatcher says, “Rescue 19, people are down,” before revealing the actress’s address.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Fire Department went to the “Annie Hall” actress’ home at 8:08 a.m. ET on Saturday, and one person was taken to a local hospital. Officials identified the person as Keaton.

It was later confirmed that the legendary “Godfather” actress had passed away in California at the age of 79. However, the cause of death has not been revealed.

Her representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment on this story, but a family spokesperson told People that her “loved ones have requested privacy.”

The “Family Stone” star, who never married but had high-profile romances with Woody Allen, Al Pacino and Warren Beatty, became a mother by adopting daughter Dexter, now 29, and son Duke, now 25, in 1996 and 2001, respectively.

“Becoming a mother wasn’t an irresistible urge, but more like an idea I had been thinking about for a long time, so I took the plunge,” she told Women’s Home Journal in 2008, explaining how she became a single mom in her 50s.

Keaton looked happy in his last Instagram photo. However, a friend of the actress told People magazine, “She suddenly declined. It was heartbreaking for those who loved her.”

The “Something’s Gotta Give” star’s rapid decline was “unexpected,” the friend added.

“In her final months, she was surrounded by only her closest family, who chose to keep things secret. Even her longtime friends were not fully aware of what was happening.”

Despite the Oscar winner previously saying he intended to live there permanently, friends became more aware of the situation after he listed his Los Angeles “dream home” for $29 million, People reported.

Sources also told the outlet that Keaton was often seen walking his dog Reggie around his Brentwood neighborhood, but had not been seen in recent months.

“She loved her community,” the source said. “Just a few months ago, she walked her dog every day. No matter the weather, she always wore the same outfit, with a hat and her signature sunglasses.”

“She was always so sweet, funny and talkative,” the source continued. “She talked to her dogs as if they were people. She had a quirky, old-Hollywood aura about her. She was very, very special.”
