She will never stop jumping to the top.
It’s been 20 years since “High School Musical” came out, but Ashley Tisdale is proving she still has it figured out.
To celebrate the momentous anniversary, the 40-year-old actress used the hallway of her storage unit as a runway, reimagining the iconic look she wore as Sharpay Evans in the Disney Channel movie.
Tisdale shared the video on Instagram and wrote, “You can take the girl out of East High School… but you can’t take Sharpay out of the girl 💅✨.”
“20 years and two babies later, I’m still obsessed with this look,” she captioned the photo as “Bop To The Top” played in the background.
While Tisdale may have plenty of other looks in store, she chose three truly memorable wardrobe pieces for the video.
First, Tisdale ruffled the entire skirt of Sharpay’s turquoise “bop to the top” dress and added metallic silver peep-toe heels.
In the second, in a pink tweed skirt suit and satin camisole, her character looked like a young Elle Woods, miraculously still holding her sidekick’s cell phone in her hand.
And lastly, she wore Sharpay’s purple satin mini, pink ribbed tank, and statement silver sequin shrug, seen during her performance of “What I’ve Been Looking For.”
An hour earlier, the actress shared a carousel of nostalgic images from the film on her social media platform, writing, “20 years ago, I couldn’t have imagined what this would become.”
“I love you, Sharpay. And let me just say this…we still look amazing! 💖,” she continued.
That slideshow included a photo of her outfit on a storage rack and a close-up of the sidekick enchanted by the crystal.
Tisdale is currently embroiled in the drama of a “toxic” mom group after an essay she wrote for New York Magazine, and Page Six exclusively reports that a Hollywood studio is considering turning the story into a movie.
Perhaps she can star in this film adaptation and pull it out of her closet.
