Ashley Tisdale has been accused of being “extremely rude” by yet another person as “toxic” mom group drama continues.
Attorney Michael Parker, whose client Lina Gonzalez sued the Disney star, 40, in 2023, slammed Tisdale in an interview with the Daily Mail on Friday, recalling interactions between Tisdale and his client.
Gonzalez filed a lawsuit against Tisdale after the two were involved in a car crash in Los Angeles on September 6, 2022.
Gonzalez, who was 26 at the time, said in his filing that he suffered injuries to his shoulder, neck, back and left wrist as a result of the collision.
However, Ms Tisdale’s attitude at the scene was dismissive, adding that Mr Tisdale tried to ignore her, saying his manager would contact her.
After not hearing anything from Tisdale or his manager, Gonzalez decided to pursue legal action and posted the incident on social media.
At that point, things got chaotic. After the post, Gonzalez claimed in a written statement that Tisdale’s husband, Christopher French, publicly pursued her and published her personal information on his social media accounts.
French claimed Gonzalez was a “registered nurse who worked at Cedars-Sinai” and “committed insurance fraud,” according to the complaint.
“When you’re a normal person and a celebrity exposes it, it’s really scary, especially when they’re posting on social media and they have millions of followers,” Parker told the outlet, adding that French’s actions made Gonzalez “fear for her safety.”
“We could look at who sued Ashley Tisdale and say, ‘Okay, her husband says this person is committing fraud, works at this hospital, etc.'”[Lina]definitely felt like her safety was at risk. I mean, she was definitely scared,” he said.
In September 2024, Tisdale continued to apply for a nondisclosure order against Gonzalez, claiming that the publicity gained from the incident and Gonzalez’s testimony could be “used to harass and embarrass” Tisdale.
The actress’ request for a protective order was granted in November, and the case was dismissed the following month after both parties reached a settlement agreement. Details of the settlement have not been disclosed at this time.
Representatives for Tisdale did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Tisdale made headlines earlier this week when she penned a scathing essay criticizing her once-famous group of mom friends (which reportedly included stars Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore and designer Sammy Ryan) as “toxic” and explaining why she’s no longer dating them.
However, it didn’t take long for the tide to turn against Tisdale as other teams took sides. Ms Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, responded to Ms Tisdale’s comments, calling her “self-centered” and “tone-deaf” on social media.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six on Wednesday, a source appeared to confirm Koma’s comments that labeled Tisdale “intolerable.”
“Matthew gave her what she wanted,” the source said, adding that parting ways with her friend were “a long time coming.”
