Christopher Schwarzenegger said he fell in love with his older physique at first sight.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son showed off his impressive body transformation while out in Malibu on Friday.
The 27-year-old, whose mother is Maria Shriver, looked slim in a navy crew neck, white joggers and gray sneakers.
The businessman accessorized with a baseball cap from his alma mater, the University of Michigan, and a watch.
Christopher has been vocal about his weight loss journey over the past few years.
Last May, he attended Beecher Vitality’s Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles to talk about his weight loss transformation.
“It’s been a big process,” Christopher said during a panel discussion, according to People, explaining that he started modifying his lifestyle while living in Australia in 2019.
“I realized how much my weight was interfering with my daily activities,” he told the panel. Among them was Kelly Osbourne, who herself underwent a dramatic physical transformation.
“I thought, ‘I want to go skydiving,'” Christopher recalls. “And my friends were like, ‘Yeah, I’m not going to shoot.'” He agreed.
He added, “I thought, ‘Oh no, I can’t skydive.'”
Christopher also revealed that his body image issues date back to high school. “I tried everything,” he admitted at the time, adding, “I worked as a food server in high school.”
He told the crowd that he remembered “feeling like a weirdo when I brought a strange lunch to school.”
Christopher also said that gradual weight loss “didn’t happen overnight” and explained that “it took a lot of trial and error.” A fitness plan and dietary changes were among his strategies for achieving an overall healthier lifestyle.
Christopher also said he “gave up bread for Lent,” which lasted 40 days, and lost “30 pounds just from that.”
He also reflected on the “before and after photos” that show the changes in his body.
“I don’t feel like I’m behind yet,” he confessed.
Christopher’s lifestyle now mirrors that of his 78-year-old father.
The bodybuilder won the Mr. Olympia title six times between 1970 and 1975 before retiring for a time.
Arnold then returned and won his last title in 1980.
