Wicked: For Good’s Ariana Grande kicked off the 2026 awards season in a sheer light pink Alberta Ferretti dress at the Critics’ Choice Awards this past weekend. For tonight’s Golden Globes, she’s going for a darker look. She ditched her Glinda pink color palette for a draped, corseted black Vivienne Westwood Couture dress accented with velvet bows. She accessorized with platform crocodile-print heels and wore her hair in a ponytail.
The star is nominated for Best Supporting Female Actor in any Movie, competing with Emily Blunt, Teyana Taylor, Elle Fanning, Inga Ebsdotter Lillias and last week’s winner of the category, Amy Madigan.
In October, Nicole Kidman spoke in an interview with Grande about how playing Glinda helped heal her relationship with music and touring. She will begin her Eternal Sunshine Tour in June.
“I spent a lot of time reworking my system when it came to music production,” she begins. “With[previous album]Eternal Sunshine, it felt like a completely different experience for me. The time away from this album helped me regain some of that and explore certain feelings that might have belonged to my relationship with fame, and art. I think it helped me put the things that come with being a striker in a box somewhere else and say, “Okay, I don’t have to let go of this thing that I love. I can just keep those things here so I don’t lose sight of my gifts.” So I’m just taking baby steps to repair my relationship with music and touring, and I think my time with Glinda and acting really helped me build the strength to do that. But words cannot express how grateful I am. I think it’s just that I had some traumas before, but I feel them fading, and it’s a very beautiful thing. ”
