Ariana Grande is grateful.
At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 7th, Grande accepted the Best Pop Award for “Bright Days Afver” and gave a heartfelt speech with a very special cry.
“Thank you so much. What a god, this is so kind… I have to start by saying I really appreciate my fans. I’m going to cry.” “I love you with every fiber of my existence. Thank you to MTV.”
The evil star then cried out to his father, Edward Butera. He performed in the video “first time in his life.”
“He’s the best scene partner and father in the world,” she said.
Grande also thanked music video director Christian Breslauer and the music video “The Village” with producers, editors, designers, glams and others.
“Thank you for bringing these songs and this vision back to life and making them visually clear in a fantasy, concrete, vulnerable yet protective way,” she said. “Oh, my goodness, guys. You’re the best in the world. I just want to say these videos that mean so much, and I define an artist as taking a village forever.”
Finally, Grande acknowledged the team and songwriter on the album.
“Thank you for defending me as a songwriter and producer. I love you so much,” she added.
The “Position” singer has released “Brighter Days” alongside the Eternal Sunshine Deluxe. In the 26-minute video, she transforms into a much older version of herself and undergoes “advanced memory repair.” This allows her to connect with her younger self and go back in time to remember both “valuable and painful.”
Earlier this month, the “Twilight Zone” singer announced her eternal sunshine tour in 2026, crossing North America and the UK.
