Ariana Grande appears to be transitioning from pop star to full-time actress.
The ‘Wicked: For Good’ star has revealed his thoughts on what his life will be like in 10 years, revealing that his ‘Eternal Sunshine’ tour in 2026 will be his ‘last hurray’.
“It’s going to be great, and I’m so grateful. So I guess I’m doing this as a ‘one last hurray’ for now,” she told Amy Poehler about the upcoming tour on Tuesday’s episode of the Good Hang podcast.
Grande, 32, declined to reveal details about her upcoming tour, but stressed that this will be her last tour as a pop star for the time being.
“I don’t want to say anything definitive. I know we’re very excited to do this little tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long time,” she said.
As for the rest of her future, Grande told the “Saturday Night Live” alum that her life will be far from what she had planned.
“I think the past 10 to 15 years are going to be very different than what’s to come,” she said.
Focusing on her career trajectory, the singer said she has “felt a stronger connection to myself and my art” since starting to explore opportunities outside of music.
“I’ve spent a lot of time just listening to pop music, but I grew up as a girl who loved musicals and comedies. So I think what’s best for my soul, for my art, and for what I’m giving to myself is if I’m pursuing what feels right in that moment,” she said.
“Even if it’s a mundane thing, it has to be something different. I’m doing a movie right now, and it’s interesting because it’s a role that I read the script and loved, and I love the cast, so I’m really excited about it,” Grande added.
In addition to her busy film career, Grande was recently announced to be returning to Ryan Murphy’s film world in Season 13 of American Horror Story.
She will also appear in Ben Stiller’s new film Focker-In-Law.
“So I’m going to do a little bit of a show next year because I thought that would be really good for me,” the singer told Poehler on Tuesday.
“I think it’s a really good idea to follow these authentic impulses.”
Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine” tour will mark her first return to the stage in six years, following her 2019 “Sweetener” world tour.
