Ariana Grande paid a rare public tribute yesterday to mark the end of Ethan Slater’s off-Broadway show. She wrote about how proud she was of him and called it “a beautiful show.” The singer has been quietly “liking” all Instagram posts related to this project.
Ariana Grande posted a rare public message of support for her boyfriend Ethan Slater after he finished off-Broadway’s production of Marcel on the Train’s Run yesterday. According to People, Grande reposted her Instagram story with a congratulatory message. Fans shared screenshots of the post on social media, but the post has now expired. “Congratulations on the amazing run of this very beautiful show ♡🦋♡,” Grande wrote. “I’m very proud.”
The singer also liked all of Slater’s posts about the production this winter.
Grande and Slater have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight. During this fall’s Wicked: For Good press tour, they intentionally avoided posing as a couple. Sources told TMZ at the time that Grande and Slater are “just private people and want to focus on their movies and not their personal lives.”
On September 8, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the couple is doing well but would prefer to keep their love story out of the spotlight. “Ariana and Ethan are still together and very happy with each other,” the source said. “They enjoy keeping their personal lives private.”
The source generally added, “Ethan and Ariana support each other no matter what.”
Grande and Slater have been together for years, with their relationship first reported in July 2023.
Although she hasn’t said much about their relationship as a couple, Grande praised Slater’s character to Vanity Fair in September 2024, saying, “There’s no one on this planet who would go the extra mile or lower himself for the people he loves and cares about. There’s no one on this planet with a better heart.”
