Pop stars Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande chatted on the red carpet at the 2025 VMA.
Pop icons Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter were seen together on Sunday at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards Red Carpet. In the clip shared on X, the pair appeared to have a deep conversation in the crowd.
Grande and Carpenter are nominated for several of the same categories tonight, including pop videos and pop artists, but they will build friendships ahead of the competition. They accepted and stopped taking pictures many times before moving along the carpet.

This is her first time at VMAS since 2020. She has been nominated for the track “Bright Days Afvery” for her category’s Video of the Year, Best Long Form Video, Best Pop Song, Best Direction, Best Cinema Filming and Best Visual Effects.
Meanwhile, Carpenter walked the red carpet in a thin, Valentino red gown with a floor-length skirt and a mock turtleneck. On her arms she covered the fuzzy lavender steal.
Her latest album, Man’s Best Friend, arrived on August 29, just a year after her LP Short N’Sweet dropped. In June, she told Rolling Stone she could “stretch” her 2024 album, “Marrier Longer.”
“But at that point in my life, I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, there’s no rules,'” she explained. “If I’m inspired to write and make something new, I want to do it. Why am I waiting three years to wait? It’s all about feeling right. I’m learning to hear it more.
