“Shrinking” has earned an early renewal for season 4 on Apple TV ahead of the launch of season 3.
The drama series will premiere the first episode of its third season on the streamer on January 28th. After that, new episodes will be released weekly until April 8th.
Jason Segel returns to head the series cast, along with Harrison Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tenney, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. According to the official logline, the show “follows a grieving therapist (Siegel) who begins to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. He finds himself ignoring his training and ethics and making big, turbulent changes in people’s lives, including his own.”
The season 3 cast also includes returning guest stars Brett Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendi Malick, and Cobie Smulders. New additions this season include Jeff Daniels, Michael J. Fox, Candice Bergen, Cherie Cora, and Isabella Gomez.
“Shrinking” is produced by Warner Bros. Television for Apple TV, with Lawrence and Goldstein in an overall deal with Lawrence’s Doozer Productions. Lawrence, Siegel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Riza Katzer, Randall Winston, Rachna Flakbom, Brian Gallivan, Ashley Nicole Black, and Bill Posley serve as executive producers.
“Shrinking” has received positive reviews from critics and viewers alike since its premiere in 2023. Siegel, Ford, Williams, and Urey have all received Emmy nominations for their work on the show, and Siegel and Ford have also received Golden Globe nominations. “Shrinking” was also nominated for Best Comedy Series at the 2025 Emmy Awards.
This series was created by Bill Lawrence, Siegel, and Goldstein. All three are executive producers, with Lawrence and Goldstein currently under an overall deal with the series’ studio, Warner Bros. Television. Lawrence will executive produce alongside Jeff Ingold and Riza Katzer through their Doozer Productions. Additional executive producers include Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Randall Winston, Rachna Flakbom, Brian Gallivan, Ashley Nicole Black, and Bill Posley.
