Apples and snakes lure visitors into the lush garden. If you’ve heard this before, please stop.
Apple Martin’s first solo modeling campaign has just launched with a ‘Garden of Eden’ themed shoot, a play on her famous first name.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s 21-year-old daughter was recently named Self Portrait’s new brand ambassador. She posed with a yellow python in the British brand’s latest ad for its Resort 2026 collection.
Renowned photographer Ryan McGinley photographed Martin at an apple farm in upstate New York wearing a lace, sequin and polka-dot outfit styled by Interview magazine editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg.
Martin spoke extensively about the brand to WWD, saying the campaign was a “no brainer.” Self Portrait’s “British spirit reminds me of growing up in London, so it feels like home from the start,” she continued.
Self-Portrait announced Martin’s role as brand ambassador last month with a series of DIY mirror selfies, before the professional campaign photos were released.
“She has never worked as a model before, but she is very comfortable with herself,” founder and creative director Han Chong told the trade publication.
Chung praised his new muse in a statement. “He represents a new generation characterized by confidence, curiosity and freedom of expression,” said Martin, who is studying law, history and society at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Just last month, Martin debuted alongside his mother as the face of Gap Studio’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. The denim-heavy images were shot by Mario Sorrenti and creative directed by Zac Posen.
Self Portrait is known for its feminine guipure lace dresses and affordable luxury price points, and counts Kate Middleton, Beyoncé and Emily Ratajkowski among its celebrity fans.
The British brand plans to release “a series of fashion portraits, films and activations” featuring Apple in the coming months.
I’m looking forward to seeing how they turn out.
