Angelina Jolie had an emotional message about cancer during the premiere of her latest film, Couture.
The film stars as the 50-year-old Maxine, the Oscar winner, her first Oscar-winner to portray opera diva Maria Karas in Maria last year, and the American film director, diagnosed with breast cancer and hired her to make a video of a Paris fashion event by navigating her divorce.
After the September 7th premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, the cast participated in the Q&A. This was hosted by TIFF’s Chief Programming Officer Anita Lee, and was asked by an audience who have recently lost friends due to those who are still struggling with the message of “hope.”
This issue led Jolie to death his mother, Multiline Bertrand, to cancer in 2007 at the age of 56.
“I’ll say something I remember what my mom said when she had cancer, she told me once, we had dinner and people were asking how she felt, she said, ‘Everyone has cancer.’
“So if you know someone going through something, and ask them about everything else in life too, do you know? They are all people and they are still alive,” she added.

Bertrand was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1999 and was diagnosed with breast cancer before his death in January 2007.
In 2013, Jolie underwent a preventive double mastectomy after genetic testing showed she was at a higher risk of developing breast cancer. At the time, the actress said she was found to have a “breakdown gene” called BRCA1, and doctors determined she had given her an 87% risk of breast cancer and a 50% risk of ovarian cancer.
In a New York Times Op-Ed work called “My Medical Choice,” Jolie said the surgery reduced the risk of developing breast cancer to less than 5%.

During the Q&A, Winocour said that the film is about cancer, but it is also about the “pulsation of life and the life.” “We really didn’t want to calm you down about cancer, it’s the exact opposite,” Winocour said.
Winocour also said that Jolie “since her mother and grandmother passed away from breast cancer, I quickly found a personal connection to the film for reasons we know.”
“She also had a double mastectomy to escape the fate of her family, which led to this story and her body,” she said.
According to the official summary of TIFF’s couture, Maxine said, “Because it’s profitable and financially burdensome. She’s in the middle of a divorce, with a teenage daughter and is preparing her next feature film.
“Maxin’s personal crisis intersects with two other women she meets at work. Anzir (Ella Lampfe), a veteran makeup artist, writes fictional works based on her own experiences in the industry. A life-changing career decision.”

Jolie appeared in TIFF last year to support the director’s efforts in Bloodless, a tragic drama starring Salma Hayek and Demian Bicil. Her son, Pax, 21, joined the audience to give her a standing ovation following the film’s premiere.
Her eldest son, Maddox (24), who worked as a production assistant at Maria, was the third assistant director of Couture, previously titled Stitch.
