Andy Cohen details his interview with Karen Huger and her stunning return to RHOP after being released from prison.
“[The sit-in]happened a few days after she was released,” Cohen exclusively told Page Six’s Eval Real and Danny Murphy at BravoCon on Friday.
“I went to her house in the middle of the night after ‘Watch What Happens Live,'” he continued, adding, “I just snuck into Potomac and then slipped right out.”
A short clip of the interview was featured in the reality show’s midseason teaser, which premiered at BravoCon on Friday.
“Here you are, you’re a free woman,” Cohen said, referring to Huger’s six-month prison sentence for drunk driving, which ended when she was released from the Montgomery County Jail in September.
The Bravolebrity replied, “It’s time to talk about my addiction.”
“It was very emotional,” Cohen told Leal and Murphy for the full interview, which will air on the season 10 finale of “The Real Housewives of Potomac.”
He added: “I heard things from Karen that I had never heard before.”
When asked how he felt hearing Huger, 62, admit that he struggles with addiction, Cohen told Page Six, “I was very touched by the whole conversation and I’m looking forward to everyone seeing it.”
Murphy and Real also chatted with Huger’s “RHOP” co-stars on the red carpet, who cheered her on during her journey.
“I love it,” Giselle Bryant said. “I just want Karen to be her best self, and I’m here to be on the journey with her.”
“I think Karen is a great person, so if she can get past this monkey, then we’ll be fine,” Bryant said.
Regarding Huger’s confession, Ashley Darby told Real and Murphy, “It’s incredible for her to confess on her own.”
Ms Darby recalled a time when Huger “put her armor back on” rather than feeling “exposed” and wondered if she could “get the real Karen” now.
“I feel like there’s no Potomac in Grand Dame,” added Monique Samuels. “And so was Karen.”
“I think this new version of her will be even better because she will be able to be her true self,” she explained.
Kiaruna Stewart said she was “thrilled” to have Huger return to the show.
“I’m excited to get to know her,” Angel Massey said. “I feel like what was missing this season was her.”
Huger was found guilty of drunk driving in December 2024 after a high-speed car accident in March 2024 that totaled her Maserati.
Police body camera footage showed Huger admitting to being “intoxicated” after the crash and referring to herself as Thomas Jefferson’s “concubine” during an inebriated interrogation.
She then referred to shocking body camera footage from the arrest, saying she had avoided watching it.
“I’m sitting in the courtroom thinking I finally have to see it, because I kept saying, ‘Well, they definitely made a mistake, because I don’t quite have it all tied together,'” she told her husband, Ray Huger.
She added: “Let me tell you, I didn’t recognize that woman.”
Huger served six months at the facility before being released in September.
