Amanda Seyfried faces backlash for being critical of Charlie Kirk after his shocking murder.
The 39-year-old actress called him “hate” in response to a Sunday Instagram post.
This post tells Kirk about abortions, immigration, black people, and more, “Quest yourself. Ask yourself why he is exposing MLK’s flaws in life and personality and that he says he should judge others.” – Charlie Kirk, January 2024. ”
Comments from Seyfried’s verified Instagram account read, “He was hatred.”
The “Mean Girls” star redistributed the text post on Instagram stories on Monday, apparently hinting that Kirk had incited his own death.
“You can’t invite violence to the dinner table and you can’t be shocked when you start eating,” the post reads.
Seyfried is being criticized for her pointy social media activities.
“Amanda Seyfried believes that the assassination of Charlie Kirk has been justified. Don’t watch one of her films.”
Another X user said, “I haven’t seen any more movies. Amanda Seyfried spread the lie that Charlie Kirk was the hatred that he should have lost his job. She actually saw the Charlie Kirk video.”
More critics accused her of being hypocritical.
“Amanda Seyfried said Kirk deserved to be assassinated for encouraging violence, because, according to her logic, which was violent during George Floyd’s protest, she deserves to be shot by police. They “invited the violence to the table,” according to Seyfried.”
Safried also received a barrage of negative comments about her and her cat Bart’s pinned Instagram posts since August 2023.
“The scary character you showed. Be a better person,” reads one comment.
Another comment states, “I won’t see anything with you. You need to study Charlie and know that he didn’t dislike anything. Maybe you need to look inside your cold heart.”
One commenter said they were once fans of the “Mamma Mia” actress, but they weren’t.
“This is so sad. You were one of my favorites. Why are you legalizing political assassinations against people who have not said anything violent in his life?
Kirk passed away on September 10th after being shot while on stage at Utah Valley University while stopping by on an American comeback tour. He was 31 years old.
He and his wife, Erica Kirk, shared two children, a three-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son.
