Stepping out to the Netflix afterparty at Spago with husband George Clooney, she traded in her red carpet dress for a shimmering green Versace minidress with a playful oversized safety pin clasp. She paired the archival sequin look with drop earrings, a sophisticated clutch and point-toe pumps.

The afterparty appearance capped off a high-profile night for Amal and George, who arrived hand-in-hand for the Globes earlier in the night.
On the red carpet, Amal chose a form-fitting red dress and accessorized with Cartier jewelry that complemented George’s classic black tuxedo. George was nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Musical or Comedy for Netflix’s Jay Kelly.
George and Amal’s attendance at the Globes also came amid personal news. Last month, AFP confirmed that the couple and their eight-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, had acquired French citizenship on December 29. Earlier that month, George praised the country’s privacy laws in an interview with RTL radio on December 2, saying: “We don’t take pictures of children here. There are no paparazzi hiding behind the school gates. That’s the main thing for us.”
The two remain active in global rights advocacy efforts. In November, the couple attended the 2025 Social Good Summit in Manila together and spoke about press freedom. During the Q&A session at the event, the two also reflected on what they learned from each other. “I met and married the smartest, most beautiful, most dedicated human being I’ve ever met. She makes every room a little smarter and a little better,” George said. “What did I learn from her? I learned about integrity, compassion, all of the things that make you better as a human being.”
Amal replied, “I learned what courage looks like, I learned what eloquence and humor look like, I learned what a great father looks like, and I’ve seen so many things.” She called George “the best communicator I know” and explained, “If he’s standing up and giving a speech, he can make you laugh, he can make you cry, and he’s also persuasive.” She added: “In that sense, we’re both trying to do the same job: advocating for change and trying to move the needle in the right direction as much as we can.”
