Alyssa Farrah Griffin is ready to become a mom!
On Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” the 36-year-old was noticeably absent from the table as co-host Whoopi Goldberg revealed that the soon-to-be mother was in labor.
“She’s in the hospital right now!” Goldberg explained to viewers. “And we wish her all the best as she awaits the arrival of her baby boy.”
Viewers cheered along with fellow anchors Sarah Haines, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin.
“Yeah, that’s kind of amazing!” Goldberg said to applause. “Welcome, boy!”
The former White House strategic communications director went into labor after joking that Bad Bunny’s 2026 Super Bowl halftime show performance might cause her to give birth sooner.
In October, Farrah announced that she and husband Justin Griffin are expecting their first child, a boy, after five rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF).
“Baby Griffin is on the way and we are so excited and so scared,” she announced to People magazine at the time. “I have two male dogs, so I might be the underdog at home, but I’m really looking forward to being a mother to a boy.”
Alyssa explained that she wanted two children, saying, “I’ve always liked the idea of an older brother taking care of the younger ones.”
Justin also spoke passionately about becoming a father, saying, “I’ve always wanted to be a father.”
The two got married in November 2021 and have been “ready to start a family” for three years.
Alyssa said she was diagnosed with endometriosis while undergoing IVF, making it more difficult to conceive.
“I had gone my whole life undiagnosed until I started this process,” she continued. “So that just adds to the complexity.”
The TV host shared news of her pregnancy with her “The View” co-hosts the same day her interview was published in October.
“I’m so glad I don’t have to hide anymore and can breathe!” she joked.
