Ali Wong was visibly upset as he said goodbye to Bill Hader. The two had been dating on and off, but this was just two months before news surfaced that they had called it quits.
The former lovers had an emotional goodbye as Hader walked Wong to his car in Los Angeles on November 21, 2025, according to photos obtained by Page Six.
The “Saturday Night Live” alum was seen putting his arm around Wong on the way to his car.
Later, as Wong’s eyes began to water, the two stopped to look at each other, then hugged.
Hader, 47, kissed the “Beef” actress, 43, on the lips and intimately brushed her hair out of her face. Afterwards, Wong was seen grabbing Hader’s arm and looking away with a mysterious expression on his face.
The stand-up comedian got into his car and had a little chat with Hader through the rolled-down window. At one point, Hader leaned inside the window and she gently grabbed his chin with her hand.
Hader was dressed casually in a white T-shirt, navy pants and black slides.
Wong looked comfortable wearing a floral cardigan layered over a white T-shirt and navy sweatpants. She also accessorized with sunglasses, white sneakers, and a blue purse.
It was not immediately clear whether the emotional moment was filmed at the time of the reported breakup.
Page Six has reached out to Hader and Wong’s representatives for comment.
News of their breakup surfaced on Wednesday after a source told People magazine that their breakup was due to their “difficult” schedules.
“It was too difficult to build a relationship with Ali’s stand-up tour scheduled for this year and Bill’s various film and television projects,” the source said.
They reportedly ended things amicably and are “very friends and still keep in touch.”
According to a source, the former couple “continue to support and encourage each other while focusing on work and raising children.”
In December 2022, sources revealed that Hader and Wong had been dating for a “very short time” after their respective breakups. Wong just ended her eight-year marriage to Justin Hakuta in June 2022, and Hader ended his relationship with Anna Kendrick in June of the same year.
“They’re just very busy, but[the breakup]was definitely amicable,” a source told Page Six at the time, adding, “They’re definitely friends.”
A source claimed that a small group of A-list comedians knew about their romance and “everyone was excited about it.”
“[Friends]helped protect their relationship in light of Ali’s divorce,” the source explained.
By April 2023, Page Six exclusively reported that Hader and Wong had rekindled their relationship.
After the “Barry” actor mentioned his “girlfriend” in an interview with Collider, his rep confirmed that his partner is indeed Wong.
Hader and Wong publicly acknowledged their love when they made their red carpet debut at the Directors Guild of America Awards in February 2025.
During their two years together, they were spotted on romantic outings and date nights. However, they mostly kept their personal lives away from the spotlight.
Wong spoke briefly about Hader’s romantic ways in the 2023 Netflix special “Single Ladies,” sharing that he wooed her with flowers.
She revealed in the feature that the pair met through a dating app, and Hader joked that he “just happened to hear the news” of her divorce but was “excited” because he had a “forever” crush on her.
“I actually told my best friend years ago that you were the girl of my dreams,” he told her.
Now, Wong seems to be back to being a “single woman.”
