Alexander Skarsgård leaps against the method dressing of his latest film, “Pillion.”
The 49-year-old actor took part in a Pillion photo call with a shocking look at the 21st Zurich Film Festival on Wednesday, October 1st. He was wearing a silk shirt from the Magliano Collection in Spring 2025. This includes dildos, paper towels, lubricant and cracked mobile phones.

He finished off his look with relaxed pinstriped trousers and black leather shoes, wearing a shirt with a few buttons that were reverted to suit a casual touch.
While shocking, Magliano’s shirt fits the theme of Pillion. The Harry Lightton film follows Colin (played by Harry Melling). Harry Melling is a young gay man who meets Ray (Skarsgard), a member of a biker gang, leading him into a submissive relationship.
According to Skarsgård, the film contains several scenes that do not steer away from the reality of sex.
“I often find sex on screen quite boring,” he told Variety in an interview prior to the release of the film. “Usually, all the tension comes to that moment. And when people get in the bag… there’s a lot of emotional happening between Colin’s birthday and that orgy scene.”
He said he and Ryton “wanted it to be clumsy and weird. On screen it often looks like ballet, but sex can be both nasty and funny.”
Skarsgård praised the director for embracing the “adorableness” of Colin and Ray’s sexual encounter in the film, saying, “These characters were completely escaped, and the sex scenes weren’t graphic because of the graphics.
The actor has worn some bold ensembles at his past carpet events, but nothing bold.

On this occasion he wore a tailored grey pinstripe suit with a white button-down shirt and a pink bow tie. Instead of traditional matching pants and pairs of trousers, the actor blinded his eyes by deep blue sequin pants that glowed at every step he took on the red carpet. He finished his appearance with shiny black patent leather shoes.

Skarsgård wore a traditional black tuxedo with a black bow tie, but he completed the look with the addition of bold, leaning-to-thigh-high black leather boots by Saint Laurent.
The A24 acquired US Pillion rights in October 2024, but the theatrical release date has not yet been announced.
